Request: Good morning! Could I please get Tyler Lockwood with a female reader and the prompt I-I brought you a gift #December2022

You could see Tyler on the phone, looking around frantically as you made your way through the crowd. You had the perfect gift. You'd spent weeks picking it out and researching.

You expected Tyler to be excited when he saw you but as soon as his eyes landed on you his face fell and for a moment he froze and looked rather frightened. The moment passed when he hung up the phone, shoving it in his pocket, nearly dropping it in his haste.

"What're you doing here?" He issued at you as he grabbed your arm and started pulling you towards your car. He was looking around as if he was worried that someone would see the two of you. He'd knocked the gift from your hands and you almost tripped as you tried to pick it up, forcing him to let go of your arm or else he'd trip as well.

"I-I bought you a gift." You explained. Tyler's face softened for a second. Then he seemed to focus on someone in the crowd and his hard look returned.

"You can give it to me later. You should go home and don't let anyone you don't know inside." He said roughly. He'd already pulled your car keys from your pocket and was opening the car door before you had caught up with him.

"What? Tyler why?" You asked. This was far from the way you'd imagined the gift exchange going.

"I promise, I'll come to your house and see you. Just please go home." He slammed the door and hurried away. You had a distinct feeling that someone was watching you. The feeling followed you home and when you glanced through the curtains you were sure that there was someone outside watching the house. Telling yourself that Tyler had spooked you, you waited all night for him. He never came and the gift stayed on your desk still wrapped, waiting for him.
