UCHE'S POV
I got little sleep last night, I kept turning and switching sides on the bed, Dede occupied my mind all night. When morning finally came I couldn't wait for the clock on the wall to hit 9am so I could go see Dede. I have a lot to say to her and I silently pray that she isn't so mad at me and she would hear me out
Mama left for her salon really early today and she took Kelechi with her so she can also drop him off at school which worked really well for me because on a regular day I would be the one to take him to school. I take my bath hurriedly after mom and Kelechi left before making breakfast. I decide to just make cereal taking my time with each bite as I decide in my head what I'll say to Dede
I feel so stupid and dumb for walking out on her like that, I feel even more nervous about seeing her today. I know she must be very upset with me but I still pray she listens to me
I leave my phone on the bed in my room and leave the house making sure to lock the door behind me. I keep the key under the welcome mat at the door before leaving just incase I stay out a little longer than I plan even though I know I'll be home before mom and Kelechi
I see Dede's mom walking out of the house as I enter the compound she smiles when she sees me
"Good morning ma" I greet her prostrating a little
"Uche good morning how are you doing?"
"I'm very fine ma thank you"
"You're here early today you have work to do for mama?" She asks, I shake my head
"No ma I'm here to see Amanda"
"Okay then, she's inside the house" she walks out of the compound while I walk towards the house
Chioma comes out of the house with a bucket in her hand she stops when she sees me
"𝑨𝒉 𝒂𝒉 Uche how far, when did you get here?" She asks
"Good morning Chioma" she rolls her eyes at me but laughs lightly
"Good morning how far now?"
"I'm okay 𝒔𝒉𝒂 I came to see Dede"
"Who's Dede?" She asks me looking genuinely confused
"Amanda sorry, I'm here to see Amanda" she smiles softly
"So is now that you've decided to see her 𝒆𝒏𝒉 Uche? I'll call her you can come inside" she drops the bucket on the floor before going inside. I decide to sit on the stairs leading to the entrance of the house instead.
AMANDA'S POV
The morning sun lights up the whole room disturbing my sleep in the process, Chioma must have lifted the curtains in the room when she woke up. I lazily open my eyes but I see that the curtains are still intact but the room is still too bright. I remove my phone from under the pillow to check if I have any new messages, a routine that I've been carrying out the past week. Nothing from him, I throw my phone on the bed and cover my face with my cover. Maybe I'm expecting too much from him
"You're still here?" I hear Chioma's voice, I remove the cover from my face
"Good morning too" she laughs at me
"Uche is outside 𝒐𝒐 and he wants to see you" I get up from the bed immediately almost falling down
"What? What is he doing here? What time is it?" I look for my phone frantically on the bed
