*time skip night before surgery/ 2 January*
«im excited for tomorrow» remus said, they were getting ready for bed. «you should be, you deserve it» sirius said.
Remus pulled Sirius into a hug and flopped onto the bed, Remus cuddles into Sirius and they woke up like that the next morning.
«Okay Re ill make breakfast then were heading to the hospital» Sirius said the second their alarm went off. «Hmm im tired» Remus yawned. «Reee you have been waiting for this day for the last 3 months cmon»
They had waffles for breakfast and both packed a small bag with essentials, they are going to be there the whole day. It was about a 20 minute drive to the hospital and they just started driving.
«You ready babe?» Sirius asked Remus. «Ready as I'll ever be» Sirius reached over and grabbed Remus' hand. «Re you know there will be scars from the operation» Remus knows, he had thought a lot about it. «I know, but I'm happy there will be scars, shows what ive gone through and that im not afraid» Sirius smiled and kissed his hand «Thats the Remus I proposed to»
«You should be happy I said yes, slowly regretting it now your becoming more cheesy everyday» Remus laughed and looked at Sirus. Remus loved Sirius with all of his heart.
«hahahah very funny remus very funny.» Sirius said but ended up laughing his head off. «Okay five minutes and were there» Sirius said, Remus took a big breath and nodded.
*time skip operation about to start*
and blablabla hospital check in things happen.
Remus and Sirius were walking to the hospital room, Remus squeezing Sirius' hand very nervous. «Its going to go amazing Re, ill be right by your side the whole way.» Sirius whispered into his ear. Sirius always helps.
They lay Remus down on the bed and asked him to take his shirt off to see what they were working with. There were already a few faint pen lines over his chests that other doctors drew on to see what they had to do.
A nice nurse grabbed a pen and slowly traced the lines over again so they were more visible. «Okay Remus in about 15 minutes we will give you an injection so you faint for about 5 hours. Dont worry the operation wont take longer then 3-4 but just to be safe.» The nurse said waited til Remus nodded and headed out of the room.
Sirius dragged his chair over to Remus. «This is it, you ready?» Remus nodded and looked down to his bare chest. «This is a bit awkward» he said laughing. 2 other doctors came in the room with some tools both smiled and went out to get some more things.
«Do you think it will hurt Siri?» Remus asked looking a bit worried. «Nope I actually dont think so, it will be sore when you wake up but it will be fine after awhile.» Remus smiled and looked at Sirius.
«I love you Siri» Sirius gave him a kiss on the lips and whispered «I love you too» After a minute or so some other doctors came in and asked Sirius to sit on the sofa next to Remus' bed. Sirius did what they asked without question.
«Okay Remus you will feel a bit dizzy but you will fall asleep no problem.» Remus nodded and turned his face to Sirius who smiled and gave him the thumbs up»
Remus slowly felt the injection enter him and his eyes slowly started to fall down, the last thing he saw was Sirius smiling at him.
*time skip middle of surgery*
Sirius was on his phone, still on the sofa, every few minuted he would stop and see how everything was going. A doctor came over to him and asked if he would like a glass of water, he politely accepted. The doctor came with water and he continued on his phone.
He kept on sending Lily messages on how it was going. But Lily was at work so she couldnt read them.

After 5 hours and 11 minutes (yes sirius timed it) remus finally woke up. Sirius pressed a button so the doctors knew. The same nurse came in did a blood test, smiled and left.
Sirius ran over to his boyfriend and waited til he was fully awake. «god im sore» sirius smiled «hes awakeeee» sirius giggled «yes im awake pads, I cant move my head how does it look?»
«They have put a bandage over so you cant see it now, but I last saw near the end and it looked amazing»
Another doctor came in and said Remus and Sirius could leave tonight anytime between 5 and 8pm. «Its 4pm now when do you want to go babe?»
«As soon as I feel good enough to go, bit dizzy right now»
It was now 6pm and they were ready to leave. «You can take the bandages off anytime tomorrow after 12, there will be swelling and bruising but thats natural and will go away in a few days time» Remus nodded and mentally noted that and they left the hospital.
«Im so proud of you babe» Sirius said, and again reached to hold Remus' hand while driving. «I couldnt have done it without you, and James lils or pete who donated some money, but definatly not without you.» Sirius kissed Remus' head «I love you so much»
«And I love you more»
