171. touch, or don't

Sirius' love language was definitely physical touch. Having been neglected from his family, loving, physical touch was something he never saw.

On the other hand Remus wasn't the biggest fan of physical touch, which did make some things hard for them.

Over the years they had talked an agreed on boundaries they both had on things including touch, sex and other things.

Sirius opens is eyes and lifts his head to see Remus sat up in bed with his hands pressed to his ears.

A nightmare aftermath.

Panic attacks and nightmares were things Remus and Sirius dealt with often, from childhood trauma.

But they dealt with it very differently.

"Remus love, look at me" Sirius says gently, hand ghosting over Remus' hand trying not to touch it.

"Hey hey, it's okay it wasn't real now just look at me"

Remus pulls his hands away and opens his eyes to see Sirius in front of him. He felt the tears on his cheeks and Sirius was blurry from the water in his eyes.

Once Remus had calmed down he took a shaky breath. "Thank you"

Sirius just smiles and moves back next to Renus to go back to sleep. "Do you want to cuddle? Would that help?"

Remus shakes his head, climbing slowly under the covers. "It was a Fenrir nightmare"

Sirius nods and gives him a sad smile, Fenrir nightmares meant no touching at all, unless you want another panic attack from Remus.

"Okay, you just wake me if there's anything I can do okay?"

Remus nods and closes his eyes trying to think of anything but the nightmare.

"You don't have to hold me" Sirius says holding Remus' arms that were wrapped around him.

After sex was always a small struggle, Sirius needed the touch, to know he was safe with Remus.

Whilst Remus normally needed time without touch, because the previous activity had a lot of it and sometimes it became too much.

"I'm staying here, with you" Remus mumbles and presses a small kiss under Sirius' ear. He was spooning the smaller, his arms around Sirius.

"You're tense, just relax love"

It did actually help.

Don't get things wrong, Remus loves cuddling, sometimes more than Sirius. But it can get a lot at some points and overstimulating, so they have to take a break.

It usually depends on the day.

"Thank you, for staying with me" Sirius say, snuggling a bit further back into Remus' chest.

Renus hums gently. "I will always stay with you darling, you know that"

Sirius smiles, he does know that.
