"Who was your first love?"
Remus Lupin-Black looked up at the young man, probably in his thirties. The man asked him again, now understanding he was talking to him.
"My first love?" The man nods, "Wow, first and only love is my husband Sirius Lupin-Black, our 50 year wedding anniversary was last week" Remus says with a weak smile.
"Tell me more about him" The man says with a big grin.
Sirius Lupin-Black, the gorgeous Sirius Lupin-Black. The only boy who had made Remus smile as much as he did, who could always make his day no matter what.
They probably hadn't spent a day apart these last 10 years, as if they were magnets, always stuck with eachother. Even though they were old now, they still acted as if they were still 19.
Dancing around the living room with a record spinning. Watching movies cuddled up on the sofa, sleeping in each others arms, Remus wasn't Remus without his Sirius.
Sirius was at home, feeling slightly ill with a little cold, so Remus was out on a small trip for the groceries even though it was always Sirius that went shopping.
Remus was suffering heavily with his lycanthropy, all doctors were surprised he was even still alive. Most werewolves only made it to around 50.
Remus thinks it's Sirius that kept him alive all these years, changing into a dog cuddled up to the wolf though the night, both too tired and weak to run around.
"I wouldn't change Sirius for the world"
2 years later
"Who was your first love?"
Sirius stops suddenly looking at this man with a microphone pointing towards him. He doesn't know if he wants to think about his first love or not.
"Remus Lupin-Black was my first and only love" Sirius says trying to prevent his tears reappearing, Remus wouldn't want him to cry.
"Tell me about him"
Sirius shakes his head slowly. "Married for 50 years, together for 60. He passed away last week due to an illness."
The man pulls the microphone down and pulls Sirius into a hug. Sirius doesn't say anything, but hugs the man back pretending it was Remus on last time.
It doesn't feel like Remus at all, but pretending it does, he feels safe for the first time in a week.
