Sirius can't think or move. Remus' lips properly on his for the first time in 4 years. He'd never thought this day would come.
Remus pulls gently back, when he sees that Sirius wasn't smiling, his own dropped. Sirius feels tears trickling down his face and he doesn't even bother to stop them.
Remus brings his thumb forward to dry them but Sirius flinches away. "I need a moment Remus"
He nods and moves further away on the sofa and they sit in silence. "I miss you" Sirius mumbles after a few minutes.
Remus looks over at Sirius and feels like he has wasted the past 4 years of his life, splitting from his soulmate. He regretted every second of it.
"I miss you too" Remus says, fighting his own tears.
He feels Sirius sit next to him leaning into his side and he wraps a gently arm around him. "How are we going to do this?"
"One day at a time"
—1 day later—
"I missed you" Remus mutters tracing Sirius' bare chest with his fingers. "Missed us"
Sirius groans lightly turning on his side. "Me too, but I'm not sure this is going to work, what will Elia think? And our friends?"
Remus laughs, his head falling forward onto Sirius' collarbone. "Just had sex, my mind is still far away from reality"
Sirius laughs at his, ex husband? husband? boyfriend? friend? Yeah they need to figure that out.
When Sirius stays quiet Remus kisses his forehead gently getting his attention. "Hey, it's going to be hard, but we can do this okay? I can't continue to pretend I'm not still in love with you"
Sirius nods his head and kisses Remus. "I love you too"
