My Enemy? (O/C x Jinx)

Chapter 6

It took longer than the usual time it takes them, but an hour later they both make it back to Jinx's cave. Echo lays her on the bed before looking for something to help cleanse and close her cut.

"That enforcer? Why do I want to remember what her name was?" Jinx asked Echo as she tried to relax on the bed.

"So you can get back at her I guess." He said while still searching.

"Just grab that staple gun and come here." She said as she saw a firelight bug on the light above her.

As he walked over to her he saw he make a finger gun and "shoot" the bug.

"I can't promise that this ain't going to hurt but bare with me." He said as he loaded the staples into the gun.

The first staple went in and she flinched at the pain.

"Sorry." He said, she gave a thumbs up to keep going.

After 5 more staples, each with less pain than the last, he was done.

"Got anything I can wrap my knuckles and your cut with?" He asked as he got up.

"Check those drawers." She said pointing at her work desk.

Echo looked through each drawer until he reach the fourth and final one.

"Bingo." He said as he picked up the bandages. Before he closed the drawer he saw a picture of the two of them from when they were kids. Echo never smiled in pictures but in this one Jinx was hugging him which caused him to smile.

"Look, he's actually smiling." He heard Claggor say.

"Looks like someone has a crush." He heard Mylo tease.

"I'm going to get you back for that Mylo." Echo said after the picture was taken.

Echo just shook his head and sighed before closing the drawer and walking back towards Jinx.

"I see you found it." She said when he got to her.

"Yeah." He sighed as he sat down and unwrapped the bandages.

There was a brief silence in the cave, aside from the propeller creaking.

"Saw a picture that brought me back to the good times." He said as he started to wrap her wound.

"Are you saying that when we finally found each other after all that time and right now aren't good times?" She asked him as he realized she didn't have her pants on causing him to quickly look away from her with a blush on his face.

She laughed at his reaction but then snapped back into her serious tone when she asked him "What was that enforcer's name again?"

"Caitlyn Kirammam." He responded without a second thought.

"Jinx!" Silco called out, his voice ringing throughout the lair.

She put a finger on her lips to Echo and he nodded in agreement as he hit the ground.

"Yeah?" She answered back standing up.

"Firstly, put some clothes on. Secondly, Marcus is closing all the bridges into Piltover on orders from Talis and so our mutual friends can't ruin our plans. I want you to go to this bridge and keep an eye on it and him." Silco said averting his gaze from her and laying a note on her workbench.

"Gotcha." She said back to him, nodding.

Echo heard him walking back up the stairs but waited until Jinx motioned for him to stand up.

"I'll take that as my cue to leave, I'll go find Vi while I'm out there." He said as he started walking the opposite way that Silco came down, like last time.
