A few weeks go by, Echo's lungs have adjusted back to the air of Zaun after struggling the first two weeks. He paid his respects to Vander's statue and noticed the names on the base of the statue which brought a tear to his eyes.

"Here's to you, dad." Echo said as he poured out a drink after he took a swig of the drink himself.

A figure watched him do this from the distance and watched as he walked away with his head hung low. There was a loud boom at the figure's location, but Echo ignored the noise and kept walking.

He walked back into the cave as Jinx was listening to the song she wrote for herself and was working on some improvements to his hoverboard and something she had hidden so he couldn't see it, he didn't mind the music because he actually started to enjoy it himself after around the second listen of it.

Echo still checked his surroundings everywhere he went, he didn't want another Kaylin situation to happen to him again. He walked over to the bed and laid down just as the song ended.

"I'm home." Echo said as he laid down.

He heard her running towards him then a second of silence before seeing her land next to him with a smile on her face and hands behind her back.

"What did you do now?" He asked her with a puzzled look.

She walked towards him in a seductive way until she got closer to him.

"Close your eyes." Jinx said as he sat up.

"Alright, just nothing funny this time." He said as he closed his eyes.

"That was only one time." Jinx groaned towards him as she got closer.

Echo felt something heavy land in his lap, he slowly opened them to see Vander's old gauntlets but they were slightly modified, but it's modifications he didn't mind and thinks Vander might've liked. He smiled at her as he set them to the side before she wrapped him in a hug.

"Thought you might like them, took a lot of digging to find them." Jinx said to him.

"Never thought I'd see them again, I love you." Echo said as he pulled her closer to him.

They both knew what the other was thinking, but Echo let her go as he just didn't have the energy to do it. She pouts at him earning a laugh from him in the process.

"Tomorrow night, I'm just too tired." Echo said as he laid back and closed his eyes.

"Fine." Jinx says as she lays on top of him.

Echo wakes up bound to a chair and a faint light to the left of him, he's confused as to how he got here. He looks around until he hear her.

"Really thought I'd buried this place." He heard Jinx sigh.

"This place?" Echo thought to himself before he heard her speak again.

"But I should've known better." She pauses before continuing "Nothing ever stays dead."

"No. There's no way, I wasn't here." Echo's thoughts raced through his mind as he now knew where he was at.

"Are we alone?" A familiar feminine voice asks.

"Vi?" Echo questions himself.

"For now. Maybe forever." Jinx says as she appears beside Echo and placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Wanna know a secret?" She asks before continuing talking towards Vi "Silco thinks he made Jinx, with all his rants and his hard-won lessons. "Excise your doubts, Jinx." "Be what they fear, Jinx." Like everything was the same as when Vander left him. But he didn't make Jinx. You did."

"I'm sorry, Powder. I never meant to leave you." Vi says looking around to find her sister.

Echo sits there contemplating what to do in the situation.

"You never left. I always heard you. Both of you. Shadows in the streets, prickles on the back of my neck. Your voices. Pushing me. Picking me up when all the colors were black. You're both the reason I'm still alive." Jinx says as she lights the candle in front of Echo revealing him to Vi.

"I spent so many nights in that shitty prison. On the freezing floor, hungry, bloody, counting the hours. The only thing... The only thing that kept me going was the thought of getting back to you." Vi says as Echo has a look of slight betrayal on his face.

The atmosphere is tense and is only growing tenser by each passing second, Echo just sits in defeat knowing he can't do anything to help with this situation.

"Are we still sisters?" Jinx asks Vi as she walks over to her.

"Nothing is ever going to change that." Vi says as Jinx stands by her.

"I always knew you'd come back." Jinx says as she ignites a lighter and flings it across the table lighting each candle it passes by.

"What's going on?" Vi asks with concern in her voice.

Echo noticed the Claggor doll and life sized Mylo doll next to him causing a shiver to go down his spine. Then he noticed at the other end of the table was Silco. Echo's blood began to boil at the sight of the man he begins to feel himself losing control, wait this isn't after his life was spared with shimmer.

"Something on your mind?" Jinx asked Echo as she walked over towards him.

"Just let me go and we'll run far away from here, just you and me Bluejay." He spoke out to her. He wasn't pleading, but trying to bargain with her.

Echo's eyes shoot open and his body jumps up, waking up and shocking the now awake Jinx. His breathing is frantic as he looks around and slowly realizes that he's where he should be.

"What the hell just happened?" Jinx asks slightly pissed.

"I... I don't know." Echo says as he sits up and his breathing steadies.

Jinx repositions herself to where she's sitting in front of him and on his lap. She lays her head against his trying to read his mind.

"I woke up at that night." Echo says as she leans back slightly.

"When we were kids?" Jinx asks tilting her head to the side a little.

"No. When you blew up the council." He says as he purposely avoided mentioning Silco.

"You weren't there though." She says now laying against him.

"I know, it confused me too. Must be some alternate timeline or something." He says leaning back against her.

Echo gets up and goes to look in a mirror, trying to figure out what exactly happened.
