Echo wakes up and yawns before gently picking Jinx up and laying her back on the bed as he walked towards the bathroom. After he entered he walked over to the shower and turned on the hot water.

"Never change, Echo." A feminine voice said.

"Kaylin, never knew when to leave well enough alone." Echo said as he turned around.

"Why?" Kaylin asked as a tear fell down her cheek.

"I had to take Silco down, I thought he'd killed her and her sister all those years ago. You'd done the same if you were in my spot." Echo said in frustration and trying not to yell.

"We were a thing." Kaylin said walking towards him before he stopped her.

"For a week. Now please, just leave. I already have a lot on my mind." Echo said as he undressed and turned his back to her to walk into the shower.

He waited to feel the cold steel of a blade enter his body, but it never came. She had left like he asked which slightly shocked him. Echo went back into his thoughts and let the water run down his hair and body. He stepped out and dried off before he looked at his fists, he could still see how busted up they were after the fight with the firelights and remember the blood dripping from them. He puts on his clothes and walks out the door to see Jinx just now waking up.

"About time." Echo said as he walked towards her.

"I miss something?" Jinx asks after she yawns.

"Not really, boys at The Last Drop are probably wondering where I'm at though." He said grabbing his jacket off the stand next to the bed and kissing her cheek.

"Why not another round?" She jokingly asks as he walks away.

"Maybe tonight." He says before he disappears up the steps.

Echo passes and greets the people he walks by on his way, when he enters into The Last Drop everyone cheers as usual.

"Keep them happy, Chuck." Echo says as he walks up the stairs to the office.

"That's not-" The man behind the bar starts before giving up as he heard Echo walk inside the office.

Echo sighs as he sits down and looks at the clipboard on the desk.

"Done that, done that, currently in progress." He says as he makes check marks next to tasks.

He's interrupted when he hears someone drop down from the ceiling above.

"You got here real fa-" Echo starts before being knocked unconscious.

He caught a quick glimpse of the figure. It was Kaylin, he could tell by the scarlet hair and green eyes.

"What was that explosion?" A lady asks an enforcer as Echo walks by.

Echo couldn't hear what the enforcer said as he was already out of earshot. He did start thinking to himself about what it could've been since it seemed to drag just about every enforcer towards it. He shook his head, better to not dwell on it.

It was Progress Day and Echo walked among the crowd dressed as someone from Piltover would be. He saw wind-up toys, a toy airplane being flown and Jayce Talis himself among the crowded streets.

His attention was drawn to a group of people chatting about the explosion.

"Guy I know says it was a tall girl with blue hair in two braids with a tattoo up her arm and down her side." One man said as Echo slowly walked by.

"Bah, I heard it was some big bloke with tattoos all over his body that caused it." Another said just as Echo left their earshot.

"Blue haired girl? No way she's still alive." Echo though to himself as he walked on.
