My Enemy? (O/C x Jinx)

Chapter 9

Walking back once they knew they had out ran the enforcers that were chasing them, Echo was looking around as he felt an ominous feeling going down his spine. He bumped into Claggor seeing that everyone stopped and was looking at some guy.

"Nice haul?" The boy said, kicking something around.

"You could say that." Mylo said before being punched by Echo.

Echo doesn't pay much attention to the conversation as he's trying to keep his eyes on the others surrounding them, until he sees Vi walks up to him and asks "Just a taste?"

"Just a tas-" The boy says before being smacked by the bag Vi had.

Vi tossed the bag to Powder and the fight was kicked off. Echo was fighting someone taller than him but he blocked every punch he could from the guy. A few of his punches made contact with Echo's ribs as Echo mainly tried to protect his head. He grunted with pain as he landed an uppercut when he dodged a jab from the guy, the uppercut lifted him off his feet and landed back on the ground knocked out. Echo turned around to see everyone else finishing up with those they were fighting with but he noticed a certain blue haired girl missing.

"This day's turning out alright after all." Mylo said, dusting his hands on his pants.

"Wait!" The leader yelled, pulling out a knife.

"Wanna see how that ends?" Vi said, walking over towards him and staring into his eyes.

The boy backs off and runs away.

"Where's Powder?" Echo asked, causing everyone to look around.

When the group found her the bag she had was missing and Mylo wouldn't stop complaining.

"Okay? What about us? I get my face bashed in, and she just gets a pass?" Mylo asked, still complaining about the lost loot.

"I've got bruised ribs, hell maybe some cracked ones, Mylo. You see me complaining?" Echo said, irritated by his constant complaining.

Before Mylo could say anything back, Echo pushed past him and got onto the elevator.

"Every time. Every time she comes, something goes wrong. She jinxes every job." Mylo said, once again complaining.

"She isn't a jinx, Mylo. So drop it or I'll drop you." Echo threateningly said to him, finally getting him to be quiet.

As they rode down people would look at them with disdain, this caused Echo to pull up his black bandanna over his nose and Vi to put on her hood.

"I'll catch you guys later, I've got some business to do with Benzo." Echo said as they got off the elevator.

"See you back home." Claggor said, waving to him as they left.

Echo was whistling a song he remembered as he walked, he looked at his busted up knuckles and slightly laughed as he arrived at Benzo's.

"We're closed, take your junk somewhere else." Benzo said as Echo entered.

"Ah, you know you love your favorite nephew." Echo said as he approached the counter.
