"Nice view, but it's also a nice place for an ambush." Echo said to himself as he walked up and was looking around the area.

Echo walked towards where Caitlyn is standing, waves crashing against the shore.

"I know you're busy so let's get this over with." Echo said as he approached.

"It's either you or h-" Caitlyn started but was interrupted by Echo "Remember, I said that was off the table. I don't think you want me to walk away."

Caitlyn stared at him before saying "Sounds like you don't want the peace that you say you want."

"Oh I do, I've been fighting everyday of my life and at this point I'm quite honestly tired of it. It's just you're not taking me or her." Echo said putting his hands in his pockets.

"We need someone to take the fall." Caitlyn said with frustration starting to build up.

"Go after Sevika then. I'm different than Silco because I'm actually looking out for my people unlike you topsiders and I can keep her under control." Echo said as he turned to walk away.

"Fine, we'll look for her and drop everything on the both of you. Happy?" Caitlyn sighed in defeat.

"Definitely, Cupcake." Echo sarcastically said as he walked away and back towards Zaun.

He walked down into Jinx's cave and tossed himself on the bed with the energy he had left. He was surprised that she hadn't jumped on him yet like she usually does, he slowly closed his eyes and went to sleep.

The next morning came and he was pleasantly surprised that he didn't jolt up or see Silco, maybe today was going to be a good one. When he stood up and after he rubbed his eyes he still didn't see Jinx, which was actually startling to worry him.

Echo walked out of the cave and began heading to The Last Drop. As he entered all the patrons cheered again but stopped when they noticed his demeanor. He walked into the office, checked all the spots she could be hiding in and then looked at the chair. He saw a pointed end sticking through the back and ran over to it.

"We have your girlfriend 'Hound of the Underground' and either she'll face justice or you.
-C" He read out loud as he paced the floor.

"Fuck!" Echo yelled after he walked over to the desk and slammed his fist down onto it, causing a crack to form. Footsteps came running up the stairs and into the room.

"Everything alright?" One man asked causing Echo to turn around, anger in his eyes.

"I'm going Topside, I've got business to handle with a certain someone and I'd rather handle it alone." Echo said as he walked between the group with the letter in his pocket.

Echo walked into Piltover, avoiding enforcers and citizens alike, and went straight to the Kiramman mansion. He took the same route as the day he delivered the letter, but this time it wasn't with the same attitude.

"Knock knock, Kiramman!" Echo yelled as he busted through the doors.

Vi came running out of one of the rooms with her fists up and was surprised to see Echo standing there, now holding the fist he used to bust open the door.

"Echo? What the hell?" Vi yelled at him as she lowered her fists.

"Where's Powder?" Echo asked back shaking with anger.

"What do you mean 'Where's Powder?' She should be with you." Vi answered back before slowly approaching him.

"I found this letter stabbed into my chair in The Last Drop." Echo said holding the letter and handing it to her.

Vi took the letter and read it, her eyes widened when she saw the initial. "This isn't Caitlyn's writing."

"What?" Echo asked shocked.

"Oh shit." Vi said when she realized who it was.

"Tell me who it is, Vi." Echo said walking over to her.

Just before Vi was about to say something, something what Echo presumed was a cyborg who looked like a woman landed behind him and caused him to turn around.

"You must be the one who took Jinx." Echo said when he turned around.

"And you must be the 'Hound' we're looking for." The woman said.

"The charges were dropped, now let her go before things get ugly." Echo growled towards the woman and raised his fists.

"Don't lose yourself." A voice repeated in his mind.

"Let it take control." Another echoed.

Echo dropped to his knees holding his head and yelling in pain, confusing the cyborg in front of him and causing Vi to run towards him.

"Violet, tell her I'm sorry. I've got to leave before you see something you'd rather not remember me by." Echo told Vi as he stood up and ran off.

Vi knew Echo was serious if he used her actual name, but she was left confused by what just happened.

Echo ran back to Zaun but he made sure he wasn't followed and walked into The Last Drop, which was thankfully empty. He ran into the office and sat in the chair, heavily breathing trying to keep control of himself.

"Dad?" Echo asked between breaths to the figure in front of him.

"Hey kiddo, I knew you'd make it here one day. Feels like yesterday you were this small talking about it and here you are." Vander said as he indicated the height he was talking about.

"I'm trying to keep it that way, you know. Keep the peace and especially help her." Echo said to Vander.

"I know, son. You've got this." Vander said as he put his hand on Echo's shoulder before vanishing.

Echo laid his head on the desk in front of him to try and get some rest, which surprisingly worked but he woke up with sweat dripping on the floor.

"Fuck man, can't have a peaceful sleep." Echo said as he slumped over in the chair. "At least I didn't wake up yelling."

Echo heard the officer door open and looked up.

"Bluejay?" Echo asked as he tiredly looked at the girl in front of him.

"In the flesh." Jinx said as she ran at him and embraced him.

"It feels like eternity since I've seen you." He says as he returns her embrace.

"It's only been three or four days, I honestly lost count." She says as she slightly chuckled.

"Three or four days of hell for me." He says with honesty in his words.

After the two stay like that for a few more minutes, Echo was the first to break up the embrace.

"I almost lost myself in my rage yesterday." Echo says as he walks to the window and hangs his head low.

"That's why you told Vi to tell me sorry, in the chance you did." She says walking up behind him.

"Yeah, but I'm feeling better than ever. Now let's get to work and run this city." Echo says as he turns around to face her and sweeping her off her feet, determination on his face.
