"Echo?" The woman asks slightly confused as Echo sits in front of her.
"In the flesh, Katarina." Echo says as he looks into her eyes.
The room is silent for a moment before Echo speaks again.
"Heard what happened." Echo says turning his head away from her.
"The guy was drunk and tried grabbing at me!" Katarina yelled out for the guards to hear.
"I don't care about that, I care about why you just didn't say anything to me earlier." He said before pulling some keys out of his pocket.
Katarina pulled her arm out of the shackle on the table before walking over to Echo and pulled him into a hug, she caught him off guard he dropped the keys he swiped from Vi.
"How long have you had that unlocked?" Echo asked pulling her closer.
"How long has it been since you walked in?" Katarina asked back in response.
"I've got a woman now, Firecracker." He said as he pulled away from the hug and walked a foot away from her.
"Figured that by the way you were acting." She said placing a hand on her hip.
"Who'd you piss off to get that scar?" He asked with a slight chuckle.
"My father." She simply says averting her gaze to avoid eye contact.
"Oh." He says walking back to her and lifting her chin up to look at him.
"I went after I target I shouldn't have gone after, thought I knew what I was doing and nearly got him killed." She says with a slight look of disappointment in herself.
"Damn, so he did it himself?" He asked causing her to raise an eyebrow.
"No, he had someone else try to do it." She said grabbing his hand and continuing "You need to watch your back. Someone from somewhere put a pretty coin on your head."
Echo tries to step away from her in shock before asking "So you've come to collect it?"
"Why would I? You know the respect I have for you." She says letting go of his hand.
"You've got a point. Anyways, want to grab a drink sometime later?" He says walking to the door.
"Sure." She says as she stands up.
Echo knocks on the door for Vi to open it, a moment goes by before he hears gears turning and the door opens. Vi stands there with her arms across her chest and a pissed off look on her face.
"What? I wasn't gonna let her sit her all alone." Echo says as he dodges a fist from Vi and continuing "Ok, I deserved that."
In Jinx's cave Jinx is working on another project for Echo, she keeps looking over towards the room he came out of hours ago. The door was left cracked open and the curiosity of looking inside finally got the best of her as she got up from her workbench and walks towards the room. Inside she flicks a switch to light up the room and sees piles upon piles stacked up next to each other, she walks towards the pile he was at when she scared him and sees a picture. Picking up the picture she feels her heart beginning to break at what she sees, she drops the picture as she runs out with tears falling down her face.
Echo looks around himself as he walks down the Piltover streets and towards the bridge. He sees a figure running towards him and he braces himself to fight when he notices the hair of the person, blue. He begins to sprint towards her and grabs her, wrapping her in a warm embrace as she starts to cry into his chest.
"What's wrong, Bluejay?" Echo asks as she starts to try and pull away from him.
"Why?" Jinx screams into his chest.
"Why what?" He asks calmly and patting her back before it hits him. "The picture?"
He feels her nod at the question before pulling her closer to him and saying "We're friends now, back then we were closer but those feelings are long gone now."
He lets her go after saying that and looks at her as she draws her pistol on him. He simply sighs as he walks closer, even when a bullet hits in front of him.
"I meant it, those feelings for her are gone, Bluejay. You can shoot me if you want, honestly the way I am I wouldn't blame you." Echo says as he lets a tear fall.
Vi runs up with her Hextech gauntlets on and stops when she sees the scene in front of her.
Jinx stays silent but shakes as she still aims he pistol at Echo as he keeps approaching. Echo finally gets close enough to her to grab the pistol and pull her close to him.
"This enough evidence to prove I won't leave you?" Echo asks as he looks into her eyes.
Gone so long I stepped out of the woods
Echo's eyes widen at the realization that he's been shot. He looks at Jinx who's eyes are on the brink of tears and then turns around to see a smoking rifle that an enforcer was holding. He slightly laughs at it before falling down, he sees Jinx sitting next to him holding his hand and Vi rushing over towards them. Ashe and Katarina heard the shot and began rushing to the scene.
Well I was misunderstood, but in light of it all
I sit back and check their disguise
"Damn bounty hunters." Echo weakly laughs as he sees both Katarina and Ashe making their way towards the small group.
Their dark shallow eyes, got lost in the haze of the light
Echo can't hardly make out what Vi was yelling but by the hand motions she was doing she was calling for someone. He leans his head back against Jinx's lap.
So I sit back and watch
I see all their masks soon appear
Echo hears another gunshot and raises his arm to take the majority of the impact, the impact of the bullet spraying his blood on Jinx. He feels his body being lifted up as he begins to drift in and out of conciseness.
Long for the woods
From this place I'll disappear
Echo feels something entering his body and a sharp pain begins to take hold of him. He sees Vander standing next to him.
They all strive to deviate from the norm
But collectively swarm to be all the same, well
Echo's mind begins to start having thoughts constantly causing his head to begin hurting. In Vander's place is Silco as the man begins to laugh.
To alter image prosthetics are worn
Their primped plastic forms melt in the heat of the light
The one thought that enters Echo's mind is that he's dead as he now sees only black.
So I'll step to the light
I see all their masks soon appear
Echo sees Jinx now hugging him tightly with Vi next to her with her hand on Jinx's shoulder letting tears fall.
I long for the woods
From this place I'll disappear
"This can't be it." Echo says to himself.
Disappear
"They still need you, son." Vander says as he appears and disappears just as fast.
Disappear, oh Lord
"I won't ever leave you, Bluejay." Echo says to Jinx as the two walk inside the cave.
Disappear
