I was woken up by my digital alarm. 7:30 a.m., it read. Uhhh... I hate waking up early... I don't wanna... but I have to get up before Ax does so he doesn't notice anything off... This is why modern tools are the best, I guess. I opened the curtains and looked outside the room through the window. Bright and sunny, as usual. I didn't bother wasting half of my mana changing the day to night for my dimension, so I just let it be and closed the blackout curtains when I went to bed.

I went to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face from the faucet. It woke me up from my dream-like state. Then the memories came.

"AHHH! SHIIIT!" I screamed on the top of my lungs after remembering what happened last night. How can I get so displeased and dazed by thinking about humans? Uh, this is why humans are the worst. I thought of what Ax would say when I got out of my space, and cringed. Do I have to deal with this in the morning... I just want to go back to bed... I only went on this trip because I finished all my heir work a year in advance so I was allowed to do whatever... but now I sort of regret it...

I sighed and took a shower. Afterwards, I used light magic to put on my disguise (AKA past life appearance) and opened the portal to step out. I was greeted by Ax's smiling face.

"Gah!" I yelped, falling back down in the portal.

Ax stepped in and gasped. "What...? Is this where you were sleeping...?"

He looked around at the ornately decorated room. I paled. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit... well, should I come out clean?

"I knew it. You're hiding something from me, aren't you?" He added. Well duh, way to state the obvious, dude.

"Yeah? And so what? You may be my playmate, Ax, but we barely know each other." I stared him down with dark eyes. "I'm not so much of an idiot to divulge all my secrets to a dangerous guy I just met."

Ax, however, didn't look too troubled at all by my cold answer and looked at me blankly before grinning like a flirtatiously. "Well, then, how about we get to know each other better?"

Two days passed in a blink of an eye. After I cooked and stepped out of my portal, I saw Ax sitting next to the fire, as usual, waiting for me. The tent was set and he was lounging around casually before I came.

"Nova." He greeted me.

I frowned. "Ax."

We sat around the fire, eating japanese curry, when Ax told me something. "I'm going to be sleeping with you from now on."

I instantly sat up in dismay, I slammed my hand down on the log, looking at Ax from point blank distance. "Ax!"

"Your~ identity~ is in my hands~" He casually played with my silky black hair and flicked my chin.

I groaned and moved back. Then, after a moment, I grinned benevolently. "Well... then couldn't I just kill you to conceal my identity?"

He placed down the bowl of curry and moved back while I stepped forward. "It's quite easy, really. I'm sure you know that I have air magic by now. I'm not sure if you know how many attributes I truly have, but that's fine. It'll be a piece of cake to silence you. No one would know... and if I can't kill you, then I can just call Selen to help me." I cackled. Don't try to blackmail me. I may be playful, but I have boundaries. And honestly, I don't like you much right now, so I would have no qualms killing you to avoid being sentenced to a year of grounding from Mother and Father.

"...You wouldn't do that. I'm the one that's so 'entertaining' to you, right? And plus, if you kill me, then what are you going to do for fun? I'm new, and I'm sure all of your other playmates are worn out by now... And I won't blackmail you, you'd just kill me, so I'm not a threat to you either." He reasoned hesitantly. Hmmm... true.
