I was in the club room today. Shockingly, Al wasn't here with me. Usually he just attached himself onto my back until we got here then proceeded to eye Theodore (who was no longer spunky) for the rest of the period.

I sighed in relief as I sank into the soft, fluffy couch, and immediately opened a small, hand-sized portal in the crook of the couch so Theodore wouldn't see it, as usual. I pulled out my MacBook Pro and a small grin slipped my face as soon as I saw that cold, shiny metal case on the outside of it with the apple sign shown brilliantly in the middle.

(Author's Note: Hey guys! So, people have been asking if Alice has access to the modern day Earth internet and wifi. The answer is, no. The reason she is able to type is because she remembers the basic code for a program, so she could install it and use it offline. Anyway, that's just the gist of it. See ya!)

I continued to type, the clickity-clack of the keys being the only sounds in the room, making Theodore and I fall into a comfortable silence. Until Theodore glanced at me and asked in his usual dull tone, "Mixuni, have you met a mermaid who has silver hair and ruby red eyes?"

I spit out my nonexistent water in my mouth. So he was actually the spunky Theodore guy in that hall?! I actually thought that the guy was a doppelganger, since Theodore would never act like that! "...Yes, I do know a mer with silver hair. How do you know her?" I quizzed.

"...Never mind, she was just like you in many ways."

Wow, he's perceptive. I thought that I acted completely differently when I was in school, but apparently people can see through that. "I did know her for quite a long time, so it makes sense that she's similar in personality." I continued typing after responding.

"Her voice is also similar in pitch and tone compared to you."

I spit out the nonexistent water again. "Oh, that so?"

"Yeah."

"..."

"..."

"...*Alice continues typing after weird exchange*..."

In my dorm room, Little Al and I snuggled underneath the silk covers of the bedsheets, dazing off and hugging as we slowly slipped into dreamland. That was, until my least favorite subordinate, Zen, jumped down silently from who-knows-where like a shadow and woke me up from my daze.

I rubbed my dry eyes and groaned. Al still seemed fast asleep, he must be too weak to notice Zen's presence. I patted his poofy, silky hair and smiled, satisfied, before turning to the person in front of me. "What do you have?"

----

"Master, if I may. The Demon King has returned. The King of Asar requests that you return to the kingdom immediately and join the subjugation group to slay him."

I studied my nails, disinterested in this piece of news. This must be the start of Book Two of 'I Shine For You'. A demon king appears. I wonder if that Pink Fluff Ball would have joined the group as a saintess if I hadn't killed- I mean, made her disappear. "So? Why should I care? I don't really have any connection to the kingdom, it doesn't really matter to me."

"Master..." Zen looked mortified and exasperated at the same time.

"Zen, listen. That King of Asar just got his title through his bloodline. Other than that, he must be a complete shitty bastard, since he actually raised that bastard of a prince Lionel who fell in love with Aveline. So, since he's such a douchebag, a fucking asshole, I don't think I should listen to him. Right, my least favorite subordinate?"
