I keenly observed the people surrounding me, feeling completely cold and dull.

It didn't work. The experiment didn't work, again. Al isn't back. After all of this, all of this suffering, my Little Al still isn't back. I felt the coldness bubble up within me. It filled my senses, my heart, my mind. I felt a pang of dull pain reverberating around my body, mocking me and my incompetence. If I had just pushed harder. If only I had been better... if I wasn't so useless... then maybe he would be here with me... but instead... I'm here, in an unknown place once again, with nobles muttering and snickering like the fools they are.

I stared at my hands, trying to use it as an anchor to keep myself together. But they started trembling. Shaking.

Why did it have to be this way...? I pushed... I pushed myself to the brink of death... just to see my dear brother, my only light, again... but instead I was in a ballroom, adorned with annoyingly heavy bright pink gaudy clothes, with a human pointing his finger at me while clutching a petite girl who seemed to be quite a bitch, judging by the victorious, triumphant gleam in her eyes and her cowering stance before me.

Everyone is useless. I am useless. Everyone should just go and rot in hell, being devoured by demons, those crude yet lovable beings, for their sins against the world.

In the midst of my deliberations, my cold fury, I could faintly hear that brat, who was oh-so-rudely pointing at me, the Demon Queen, announce something quite inane. "I, Louise Vala Aspel, am breaking off our engagement! I love Maria, I will get married to her, and you, vile woman, will not get in my way!"

I lifted my head, taking my faint focus off my hands. Did he not see my unsteady gait, my shaking aura, my pale countenance? I was mourning. My dear brother, who I could no longer save, was gone. My subjects, who I adored, have all departed, no longer a part of my life.

My frigid, deathly gaze pierced through the human pointing his forefinger at me. Those oily human nobles all quieted down and froze as soon as they touched my irate, wintry aura. The boy, who seemed to be a prince of a nation, and that bitch next to him, seemed to be the only ones ignorant to my silent madness.

"...Humans truly are despicable." Those were the only words I could utter. But indeed, humans were. My dear brother Al died simply because he was a human. My parents, as well, because they were human. And me, despite being the Devil, could do nothing to stop their departure because of my damned human soul. Uselessness is nothing but despicable. And those creatures, those humans, are nothing but full of it.

"They broke me..." I felt the blood dribble out of my lips, the tears flowing from my puffy, red eyes.

"And this girl's soul, too... just because of their greed and utter incompetence." I muttered. The outrageous, grandiose shouting of the prince rang deaf to my ears.

"Hazilen Fanel Sicul! As your parents-" I whipped my head to face the unfamiliar voice echoing behind me. Two skimpy, fat looking middle aged people faced me with their heads held high. My anger surged. Parents, they say? Those plebeians standing triumphantly before me dare to call themselves my parents? My parents were dead. They are dead. And they will be the only people I recognize as my parents. "-we formally disown you from the Sicul House!"

Roars and cheers sounded around me. It seems they were too simple-minded to feel the wrath emanating from my very core. So I'm possessing a girl with useless parents, huh? My fists clenched tight, enough to draw blood, and my bitter, piercing aura exploded.

I appeared before them as fast as lightning and pressured them down with my presence. They fell to the floor and paled at my change in countenance.

"Insolent brats." I narrowed my eyes and ran my hand through my hair with a bored and tired expression.

I pressed my six inch stiletto heels on his chest, feeling a distinct crack under me. I chuckled at the thought of killing them, the pests that they were, with my foot slowly breaking them like breaking my toys I used to play with far off in the past.

My aura, my presence, expanded and settled, forcing all of them to the floor, suffocating them under my superiority. "All of you. All of you are nothing but useless bugs."

Oh, how I do love watching prey squirm. I removed my heel from the pests and gracefully walked towards the couple that declared the dissolution of 'my' engagement. I watched his utter indignation show, plain on his face, as he saw me approaching.

"You-"

"Ah-ah-ah, insects such as yourselves should never talk."

I leaned down, my amusement and dementia building, my midnight blue hair slowly cascading from my slender shoulders. I smiled softly, caressing his face with my elegant, white hands. He shivered under the pressure I exuded from my presence. I ran my hand down to his chin, clutching it gently, before jerking his jaw to the side before hearing that oh-so-gratifying popping sound.

I waited for his screams. His horrible, tear-inducing screams. But none came. Just the silent quaking of the body underneath me, too mortified to make even a peep.

I smiled expressionlessly with my dull, gray eyes. "What a shame. I love it when my toys chirp..."

I moved my fanatic, shaky eyes to the middle of his finely cleaned pure white khakis and my polite smile turned to a toothy, ecstatic grin. "Maybe this will make you scream for me~"

Without further ado, I lifted my heel up in the air and crashed it down. The deadly silent ballroom, which was mute enough for people to hear a pin drop, was instantly filled with bone-chilling screams of beautiful agony.

When a person is over one thousand years old and they gain much wisdom and knowledge from their travels, what do you think their personality would be?

Cold? Aloof? Tragic? Unfeeling?

No. None of those answers are correct.

If you seek the true answer to this question, then I shall give you a hint.

Somewhere, in this vast world which we call Griffon...

Lies in a certain soul,

Of a certain half-immortal,

Unhinged and mourning over the loss of her brother,

Who just went on a murdering spree in the Royal Palace after killing her 'fiancé', her 'parents', and all of those damn nobles in cold blood.

And now...

She was journeying to the Lellenorian Empire,

In search of new victims for her to torment.
