To say Harry was upset with Zayn may be an understatement. After moaning Zayn's name as he came down his throat, Harry hadn't spoken to him. Zayn had been trying to get him to talk for the past 2 hours. He asked him what was wrong at least a dozen times, attempted to get Harry to laugh, he'd tried kissing him and even pouting for Harry's attention, but none of it seemed to work. Harry was a stubborn little shit and it was pissing Zayn off. The least he could do was tell Zayn why he was so upset. Zayn had decided to stop trying for the day after he noticed tears in Harry's eyes, not wanting to upset him further.
He was sure it had something to do with the shower incident but figured there must be more to it. Okay, so Zayn didn't end up fucking him in a hot shower session. Was he supposed to say sorry? He wondered how the hell that made him a bad guy. After racking his brain for what he did wrong, Zayn gave up for the day and joined the other boys at the pool.
"Oi, oi!" Louis shouted from the a pool chair as Zayn approached him. He began putting a towel down and threw on some sunglasses before plopping down next to Louis with a, "humph."
Liam, Niall, Paul, and some of other crew members were playing chicken in the pool, being loud as hell.
"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Here I thought you'd be thankin' uz for lettin you and Haz sleep in peace. C'mon then, tell daddy Lou what's wrong."
Zayn ignored Louis attempt at lightheartedness and laid down without a word.
"Zayn, mate. I'm talkin' to —"
"M'not in the mood to talk, okay Lou!?" He said more aggressively than anticipated.
"Fucks sake, mahn. Fine. Suit yourself." Louis barked back before going and jumping in the pool to join the others. Zayn immediately felt bad about his rudeness, but was still too irritated to apologize just yet. Instead he chose to make a mental note about it and closed his eyes as the sunshine browned his skin.
He'd dozed off and woke up to a much quieter pool area than he'd arrived to. What had been crowded before, only contained himself and Liam, who was doing laps across the pool. Zayn silently cursed his parents for never getting him swim lessons. Now, he was just too chicken to even attempt swimming having multiple bad experiences with bodies of water.
Liam looked up at Zayn as he sat up in the pool chair and began exiting the water. After placing a towel around himself, Liam moved to sit beside Zayn, where Louis had previously sat.
"Feel better yet?"
Liam was looking at Zayn with his usual kind and calm expression, softening Zayn's mood. "Yeah," he said with a sigh, "I probably owe Louis an apology, don't I?"
Liam shrugged. "S'pose if you want to. I think he is already over it though, to be fair. Harry came down here while you were asleep and let's just say he made you look like a sweetheart."
"Oh."
"Ya, mate. He went off on me and I was mindin' me own business! He just kept scowlin' at me and even kicked me! I mean, he said he hadn't meant to and in his defense he was swimming at the time, but I don't think it was an accident."
"He kicked you? Well.... Did he say why?"
"Nope. He was acting like a grumpy kid for about 30 minutes or so and when he kicked me Paul grounded him." Liam began to laugh, "He literally told Harry to go sit in this chair here that I'm sat at, but Harry just stormed off. Haven't seen him since, mate."
Zayn was bewildered. Harry never acts like that. Sure, he can be a proper shit head or stubborn as hell sometimes but it's usually geared towards one person and for a reason. He's a cause and effect kind of guy. As long as you don't give Harry a reason to be angry, he won't be. He's never just acted like a petulant child before for no good reason.
