The stillness in the air was tense, almost suffocating. None could bring themselves to say another word. Let alone a sentence.
Y/n stared down at him, still sitting motionless on the stairs beneath her.
The girl was confused. Afterall, her brunette friend had just avidly told her that the boy was having dinner with his brother. That he apologized and even walked her home.
That she was glad he opened up a little to her.
An image of her elated smile appeared in the (h/c)'s mind.
And yet, here he was. Sitting all alone, under the endless cold night sky.
Did he lie to Futaba? Was he putting on an act?
What for? Was the brunette getting on his nerves? Maybe he wanted to get her to leave sooner. Did he think of her as a nuisance?
But, Futaba was so happy.
|
|"I'm so glad he could tell me about himself."
|
|Her voice played in Y/n's ears. Like a broken recorder, it repeated over and over.
Reminded again of Futaba's naive bright smile. The faint yet noticeable blush on the brunette's face, when she seemingly relived her own memories.
Y/n was brimming with frustration, no, disappointment was a more accurate word. 'How could he lie to her like that? Can't he care just a little bit more about her feelings?'
Kou on the other hand, was both surprised and anxious. What was she doing here, at this time of day, all by herself?
Being in the same advanced class as him, he's always thought her to be bright.
However, now, after seeing Y/n there with him all alone. He might had to change his take on her.
Conflicting emotions grew in the deafening silence. The two's feelings only growing in intensity as time went by. Neither knowing what to say. Or if they even wanted to say anything.
