Once my bruises from the fight cleared up, I felt it was time to go pay my mom a visit. I was leaving the cabin to get into my car to go visit my parents when I was stopped by two sets of purple jeweled eyes sitting on the hood of my car. I stopped and stared at the golden retriever and the rabbit nestled together waiting for me.

"What are you guys doing on my car?" I ask them and they just look at me. "Come on, guys. I have to go see my parents." They just sat there. I try to pick up Jungkook but he hops out of my reach. Jimin isn't much better. They refuse to get off my car.

"NAMJOON!" I call out, not bothering to turn around or return to the house. I just wait.

"Yeah?" He yells from the porch.

"Look at them?" I point to the animals. "I can't go anywhere as long as they are on the car," I say exasperated by the situation.

"Take them with you," He says, shrugging his shoulders. I look at him dumbfounded.

"What do you mean, take them with me?" I stutter. "How am I going to explain them to my parents?" Animals with blue eyes aren't common but not unusual, but lavender? Yeah, no. My parents will absolutely be asking questions I can't answer.

"You don't. Let the mystery stand. You're not supposed to know the truth anyway." He nods his head to me and goes back inside.

My mouth drops at his attitude and I turn to look at the animals and shake my head. "Okay, in the car, you guys." I put the animals in the backseat and get behind the world. In no time, the dog jumps into the front seat and lays down on it. The rabbit climbs into my lap. I look down.

"I can't drive with you in my lap," I try to tell Jungkook but he ignores me. I start to move him but he growls and gets back in place. Wait a minute, when do rabbits growl?!!

I look at the dog in surprise and I swear I can see Jimin saying, "What did you expect?" So I just roll my eyes and laugh to myself and start the car.

When we get to my mom's house, she's waiting for me on the porch. I let Jimin out of the car and carry Jungkook in my arms. She gives me a hug and looks down at the animals. "Who are these?"

"Meet two of my new friends. They are animals at the Center who have adopted me, sort of," I explain. "The rabbit is Jungkook and the golden retriever is Jimin."

"Oh, my, their eyes are lovely. Well, hello, you guys, It's nice to meet you," My mother coos. She brings me inside the house and doesn't ask more questions, thankfully. "Do you guys need some water?"

"Yes, that would be wonderful, mom," I reply.

She gets a flat bowl down and fills it with water so that both the rabbit and dog can get a drink. She hands me a glass of ice water. "So, what was the important thing you needed to see me about?"

"Some stuff has been happening at the center and it looks like my trip to the forest in 3rd grade may have been more important than we first thought. I need to know if you found those papers yet?"

"Does it have to do with these animals?" she asks me.

"I...I don't know that yet. That's why I need to see what I wrote down in those assignments. Did you find them?"

My mom's eyebrows raise, "Well, baby, I.."

"You haven't found them yet? Can I maybe go look?" I get up from the table. My mom looks at me with a worried expression.

"Sure, baby girl, you can go up and look for yourself, but..." before she can finish, I pick up the rabbit and head up the stairs to the attic, the dog following behind me.
