Chapter 8 | The Mysterious Disappearance Part 2
_______________

Author's POV

"None sense! How can that be even possible?" Y/n's mother says in a disbelief tone, her lady's comforting her by rubbing soft motions on both side of her arm to ease the effect of the sudden news.

"Chances are low, but it is never zero." The older one says, the people surrounding them was all too shocked to even let out a single sound from them, couldn't do anything as they just watch and listen to what the sorcerers have to say about the incident further more.

A curse killing another curse? This is not something we get to hear everyday, the youngster thinks to himself before scanning the surroundings again.

A curse can't just kill it's kind without a reason, he thought once more. Bringing up his fingers to rub his chin, a habit he had whenever he was in deep thoughts, as possibilities swarm the youngsters mind the older one was busy figuring out what kind of curses the two was, the curse who was killed was still an unknown class, there wasn't any witnesses and if there are, they were probably dead.

Suddenly the imaginary light bulb above the older sorcerers head lit up, he instantly looked at Lady L/n, "Bring me your daughter, Lady L/n."

"Right away."

Y/n's POV

I climbed back inside the chamber after noticing that I was out longer than I usually do, praying inside my mind that my mother wasn't looking for me, placing the now empty basket on the floor of my chamber I looked around for any signs of my lady's but sadly there wasn't.

Suddenly a heard of many footsteps were heard outside my chamber, I immediately recognize one of them as my mother's. I quickly grab the basket that I used and placed it on the corner that was hidden away from sight, I then sat on my bed after grabbing a random book and I started to pretend that I was reading it.

"Lady L/n your daughter isn't wishing for anyone to disturb her right now." I hear Miya's scared voice say.

"I am her mother, I am not a disturbance." I can hear the authority in my mother's voice as usual, and by now I can see there shadow right outside the shōji of my room.

It was the perfect timing for me to go back inside my chamber before things got out of hand.

"Now move aside." My mother orders, I can hear Miya sighing in surrender before moving aside.

I then turn my eyes back to the book, body laid down on my bed as if I didn't care for a thing in the world when I pretended to read.

I can feel the relief radiating from Miya's body even though I didn't look at her.

"Daughter." My mother calls out.

I closed my book, turning over to her and acted surprised.

"Mother? I didn't exp—

—Stand up and greet me properly." She says, eyes overflowing with disappointment at my improperly manners.

I then quickly stand up from my bed, placing my book on a random surface near me before standing in front of my mother and when I was standing face to face with her I bowed my head, "I'm sorry mother."
