Chapter 38 | Easier Said than Done
_________

Four Days Later
Sukuna's POV

Four days without her felt like such a long time, every second, every hour I spent knowing there's a possibility I wasn't going to see her again turned something in me that I didn't like, it was actually annoying cause I know that I couldn't go back to my word now, I said it myself that everything was a mistake.

But as more as I look at the baskets filled with food I already find myself eating for the past four days says something much different, I always thought she was really naive and dumb for ever handing out food to me even though I had pushed her away and bend her til she breaks.

But I find myself eating them, I find myself rather enjoying them, I didn't even notice I was going around that same forest more than I should, expecting to find the neatly packed bento and my favorite food in the basket.

Everything was perfect, and it was all for me, she made it for me, and it made me angry, nothing was meant to be perfect when it involves me, but she was an exception, she was the most perfect thing I had seen in this world that I thought I wanted to destroy but now she was the thing I wanted.

My feelings were unsure about the situation, but I am still standing against my saying where the word curse and human doesn't go in the same sentence nor does it sound good.

I tried to get her off of my mind by doing my usual routine, destroying small villages, kidnapping their woman and stuffing them til they break, all of it was as expected very unsatisfactory to me.

I promised myself that as longer this situation goes by, maybe I'll forget about her, just don't think about her so much and I will be okay...

Should I check if she brought any food for me? I was hungry and what better way to satisfy it by getting free food.

__________

I jump over a small tree that had thick leaves, a perfect thing to help disguise my presence to the walking girl underneath me.

There she was in all her glory, basket in her hands as she walked her way into the forest, her hair was down, unusual but I know deep in me I grew obsessed with it.

The red yakuta she wore back then that I claimed as my favorite was the one she was wearing right now, and I wanted nothing but to ruin her in a suggestive way, I shake my head at the thought and focused on watching her.

But then suddenly, I felt a large energy of another presence entering the limitation of my area, I frowned, forcing my eyebrows together I looked around her surroundings to spot any odd things that was sticking out but surprisingly I found none.

So I gave up and focused on the woman right underneath me, she places the basket on the same tree she had been placing it for the last four days, looks at it before bowing.

*—crack

With a large frown coming back on my face I snapped my head at the sound, seeing a silhouette of a man behind a tree not so far from us, I feel myself clenching my fist.

Without any doubt, I jumped down on the grown, readying myself to beat this guy into a pump, show him that if he ever follow Y/n again I will personally make him eat his own tentacles.
