The dinner went on peacefully for 5 minutes where everyone was busy chatting and unknowingly ignoring the silent y/n. she occasionally gained glares from Jin besides her when she was using her phone. While someone secretly kept glancing at y/n with soft eyes.
y/n pov-
I feel so suffocated here. I just want to leave this place; I am pretty sure no will even bother to notice. I texted Seo Jun to pick me up as I sent him the address. I kept my phone when I felt some cold glares. It was Jin. He slowly and unnoticeably leaned in and told me use the phone after meal. I nodded, feeling uncomfortable at the sudden attention.
Suddenly, Mr. Kim stood up holding mom's hand. I choked on air. I could sense what was coming. Jungkook handed me a glass of water. I gulped down the water and told mom to continue.
"we are getting married in two weeks." Announced Mr. Kim.
I tightened my grip over the glass to prevent myself from bursting out.
"but mom I thought you haven't dated for that long. Isn't it too soon to marry?" I asked barely holding myself and gritting my teeth.
"actually baby we have dated each other for more than two years now....... I was going to-"
I lost it, my grip on the glass tightened to the extent that it broke into pieces, just like my heart.
"when were you planning to tell me huh? After you walked down the aisle or after you return from your honeymoon? TELL ME." I lost my cool and endlessly shouted at her repeatedly stating the fact that she was never there for me, not minding the presence of the 8 people who are practically strangers for me.
"YOU WERE NEVER THERE MOM. NEVER. I WAS LITERALLY RAISED BY MY FRIENDS AND UNCLE KANG. DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY ALLERGIES? NAH! YOU DON'T EVEN REALISE THAT EATING OATS CAN KILL ME. OR SHOULD I SAY THAT YOU DELIBRATELY MAKE OATS EVERY MORNING SO THAT ITS ALL-OVER, ONCE AND FOR ALL."
"y/n baby listen to me-" mom tried to explain but anger took over me.
"THEN WHAT IS IT HUH? I KNOW MY CONDITION KEPT YOU FROM DATING ANYONE, I AM SORRY. but not trusting me, ignoring me when you got yourself a bunch of new kids, isn't it too much?" my voice lowered as I started to break down.
Thankfully Seo Jun suddenly burst into the room startling everyone. He ran and crouched before me, looking into my shattered soul trough my wet eyes.

He then glanced my mother. She was on the verge of tears. He lifted me up as I snuggled into the crook of his neck, tired of my life.

He lifted me and said, "why do you have to end up hurting her every single time she sacrifices for YOUR happiness. You and I both know what she went through. Still?" he said in anger and stormed out.
He took fast paced steps towards his bike as he hummed to calm me a little. He placed me on the bike to sit in front of him. I gripped onto his neck, afraid to scatter the moment I leave him.

He halted the bike before my house and asked me to get off. I hesitantly get off but I wasn't able to move further. I turned around to find him busy on his phone. I gently pulled his sleeve. He turned to me and gave a warm smile.
"it's okay. Sit." He said and kissed my forehead.
I sat and he drove off towards his house. As the bike stopped before a girl who seemed to be waiting for us, I ran into her warm embrace as I let out all my emotions, sobbing on her shoulder. We knelt right there, not even bothering to step inside. She held me let me sob while stroking my hair.
