• suicide attempt

Jughead Jones, a poor boy, always watched the waves crash against the cliffs. He began painting them at a young age. As soon as he was able to write, he started to think up stories about these beautiful things. He escaped reality with them.

Almost every day of his life he would crash there and let his fingers create beautiful pieces of art. No one bothered or judged him there. Of course, he never showed anyone his paintings... well, except two people. His best friend and his art class teacher. But even those two didn't know the depth of his mind. All those nightmares and thoughts, he bullying, the abuse, the grief and pain.

No one knew about it.

But one day when he painted once again, he fell. He waited for death. Therefore that he felt the nothingness or the short pain before blackness took over but it didn't come.

The waves caught him. Wrapped around the boy's body like a blanket around a child.

"We can not destroy something like you, who loves us so much" it sounded like a whisper, a hollow voice, a dream but it wasn't. It wasn't just in the boy's head, no imagination. It couldn't be, they saved him. He should be dead. He deserved to die.

Why did something stop him?

The water wiped away the boy's tears and washed his drained face with cold water, played with his hair and gave him a feeling of safety, a feeling he longed for so long. Something he hasn't felt for so goddamn long.

"But you don't understand..." the boy cried, sobs escaping his mouth and fresh tears streaming down his cheeks. In comparison to the fresh cold water, the tears burned his skin "I didn't fall- I... I jumped..."

After that day, the boy would come over to the cliffs everyday still but he never ever heard the waves speak to him again. But that didn't stop him from painting and telling stories about it.

After he graduated school and was accepted at a college, he still came. And even after he graduated college and got an apartment in New York with his boyfriend, he came at least monthly.

"That are great news Kara, thanks for informing me" Jughead had one of the biggest smiles on his face "Okay, yeah bye" he ended the call and then turned around to see his boyfriend, leaning on the doorframe.

"Kara got the deal for my book" he squealed, running over to him and wrapping his arms around the neck of his redhead "My book gets published Archie!"

"Wait- really?" the raven haired male nodded eagerly and the redhead put his hands on the others waist "At first your paintings and now your novel. That's amazing, Juggy!" Archie kissed him on the lip, without tongue though. Jughead was okay with hickeys and other stuff, tongue-kisses where not in the green-zone.

But then Jughead sighed.

"Archie? I think I have to tell you something" although that he has shared a bit of how deep his mind actually wandered in the past and although that he went to therapy by now, he never told anyone about the day he tried to kill himself.

"Oh okay... everything okay? Are you okay?" the redhead asked, worried. Jughead shook his head and then lead both of them over to the couch, taking Archie's hands in his.

"I've never told anyone about that, okay?" he paused "You know that I was in a bad state of mind in High School... a-and one day at the cliff, I jumped. I wanted to end it" tears started to leave his eyes and rolled down his cheeks. Archie didn't even hesitate to wipe them away.

"I wanted to k-kill myself but I survived and I know that this sounds crazy but the water spoke, okay? And it saved me this day" Archie wanted to believe that, he really wanted to, but it didn't make sense.

"Jug... that's impossible..."

"No, I know that it sounds crazy and I've never heard them again but it was there! They said that they couldn't destroy something that loved them so much" the tears rolled down freely now.

"Juggy, this didn't happen. You had a traumatic experience because you fell off a cliff and your head made up a ghost because you survived..." the raven haired male shook his head, standing up.

"No, you have to listen to me! I tried to kill myself but someone was there to protect me!"

"Jug, calm down. I'm sorry for saying that, it's just confusing..." Archie tried, getting up and taking his boyfriend's hands in his "It's okay and I'm here, okay? Have you told your therapist?" Jughead shook his head.

"No one knows about it..."

"Now I know it and I'm here. Whenever you feel like... you know... talk to me, promise?" Archie cupped Jughead's face and wiped the tears with his thumb away again. Jughead nodded.

"I promise that I will talk to you whenever I feel like that again"

"Good because I'm worried about you. You took your pills today, right?" he nodded.

"Of course. I always take them, you know that" the redhead nodded and pulled him in a short but sweet kiss.

"Okay, I love you"

"I love you too Archie... now let's cuddle and watch a movie, okay? I know for a fact that you rented the Avengers" a grin spread on Jughead's face "Don't think that I didn't check our Amazon Prime account. Let's order some pizza and then cuddle on the couch, okay?"

"Okay, I'll order and you make the movie ready. Pepperoni with cheese and pineapple, right?" Jughead nodded and disappeared in the bedroom while Archie took the flyer from their favourite pizza shop and ordered.

It was good to have Archie, someone who was always there for him and supported him no matter what he said or wanted.
