All four Hermits made their way over to the small town that the Big Eye Crew had made, standing beside one of their bigger buildings.

"You can sleep here for the night. If you need us, we'll be in the building next to you." Tango explained, pointing to the detailed building beside him.

"Oh wow! Thanks..." Grian said, carefully opening the door and entering.

"Sleep well, G!" Keralis exclaimed before going into his own shared house.

"We should probably go, too. Bye." Tango said, smiling and leaving with Bdubs.

Grian closed the door, finally feeling a calm sense of peace. He looked in each room, finding a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen. He placed down his emergency shulker, pulling out his essentials. He sat down on the couch, thinking about Mumbo and what had happened earlier.

'Did he really mean that? Maybe he's right... or maybe it was just an insult? What if he is right? What if no-one likes me. What if they don't want me here...? Maybe I should leave? Tango, Bdubs and Keralis would probably find it way easier here without me... no... they wouldn't have invited me here if I wasn't wanted.'

Grian's train of thought was interrupted by a knocking on his door. He got up, making his way over to the door. He opened it, seeing a familiar face.

"Hi Grian! I'm so glad that you found somewhere to sleep tonight! Your friends are real kind letting you stay in space reserved for others!" Sam said, pushing Grian out of the way and entering without permission of any kind.

"Sam? What are you doing?" Grian asked, watching Sam look around, inspecting the house.

"Nothing~" Sam said gleefully.

Sam finished looking around and turned his attention to Grian.

"Mumbo doesn't believe you. He thinks I'm still evil. And soon enough, he'll be telling others what happened in school. You failed." Sam said, still grinning.

"I know! He just... doesn't want to think that you're actually good or nice. And he wouldn't tell others! He's not that type of person. Well, he would tell the others with permission from me, first. But I don't want the others to know... not yet..." Grian explained, becoming more anxious with every word.

"Not ever! They'll never know! Will they?" Sam said, taking more steps towards Grian.

"N-No! Of course not!" Grian frowned, fearing what Sam would do next.

Sam pulled a knife out, the same one from the previous day. He got closer and closer until he was inches away from Grian. He pulled the scarf strung around Grian's neck with a single tug. It fell to the floor with a light noise as it hit the floor. Grian was quivering at this point, frozen in fear. Sam put the knife to Grian's cheek this time and pressed down with pressure. Grian's eyes were darting around the room, looking for any possible escape. He saw the window, open slightly. He thought of a plan quickly and it was simple: he'd run to the window, jump into it, opening the window more and, in turn, letting him out. After he fell out, he'd fly away to somewhere else.

Grian felt the knife piercing his cheek way too deep and screamed in agony, tears spilling from his eyes. As his tears ran down his face, they seeped into the cut, adding more pain to the pre-existing hurt. The only thing Grian thought of at the time was the plan. He immediately put it into motion, running over to the window. He got about halfway across the room before being tackled to the floor again by Sam.

"Thought you could run away, little birdie?" Sam said, holding the knife against his neck.
He added pressure immediately, making a cut on the side of his neck, instead of the front, where he had been previously hurt. Grian stayed silent. He knew begging would only make it hurt more. He could feel blood trickle down his face from the large, deep cut in his cheek.

"I think I've taught you a good lesson, Grian. Don't disobey me." With those words, Sam stood up and left, hiding the knife as if nothing had never happened.

Grian lay there for a few minutes, feeling glad that it was over. He only got up because he heard a knock on the door. He opened the door, seeing Tango, very alarmed and angry. He immediately entered, dragging Grian over towards the sofa and sitting down. Grian sat down, too, confused. He then remembered the three cuts that were now visible to the seemingly angry Hermit.

"Why didn't you tell us!?" Tango shouted, giving Grian an extremely angry expression.

"W-what are you talking about?" Grian laughed nervously.

"Sam! I'm talking about Sam! We heard everything and saw some of it, too! Why...?" Tango said, becoming slightly more calm as Bdubs came bursting through the front door, Keralis swiftly following.

"Sorry, Grian. We couldn't stop him, he's too fast, and we were too shocked to say or do anything." Bdubs whispered, also taking a seat, beside Keralis on a smaller couch, opposite the one Grian and Tango were sat on.

"Still. Why didn't you tell anyone!" Tango continued.

"Would you really have believed me? The really happy bunny guy, coming into my house every night and threatening me? Would you really believe that?" Grian said,

"Well- no...but we'd question Sam about it!" Bdubs explained.

"We can talk about this later. Those cuts look pretty bad..." Keralis said, standing up.

Everyone (except Grian) agreed, and he was reluctantly dragged to the bathroom by Bdubs and Keralis, who had multiple healing supplies. Grian hated every part of the experience- the stinging alcohol wipes, the cold cloth. The worst part was, Keralis and Bdubs were making such a big deal out of it.
After a while, they concluded that the cut on Grian's cheek was way too deep to heal with regular supplies and they'd have to go and see Stress, who was the best nurse they had. Grian hated the thought of going to see someone else. Especially because he'd most likely need to explain how he got the cut in the first place.

Grian decided to put his scarf back on to protect him from the cold, and all four Hermits set out, into the winter sky, at 1:20 in the morning.
