Grian looked around seeing the school walls covered in blood. No-one was left, only him, and Sam. Taurtis was away in a hospital and everyone else was either dead, injured, or lucky. Sam stared at the quivering teen in front of him.
"Come on Gri-on. Why don't we play a game? You love games!" Sam said, inching closer to his 'friend'.
"N-no, Sam. I don't l-like games. Not anymore..." Grian retorted, backing up against a wall.
"That's what Taurtis said, too!" Sam laughed, taking more steps towards Grian.
"Stay away, Sam..." Grian warned.
"How pathetic! You can't even save your own skin. Who am I kidding! You can't save anyone, can you? You're just a pathetic little bird, being hunted by the bunny!" Sam laughed again, holding his blade and staring at his reflection intently.
"There's one thing you forgot, Sam..." Grian whispered, barely audible.
"Oh? And what's that, best friend?" Sam grinned.
"Birds can fly." Grian smiled, turning and forcing his shoulder into the window behind him and jumping out, falling and falling... and falling...

"AHH" Grian woke up in a cold sweat, thinking about his dream. He thought he'd forgotten about his school life. He thought he'd left it behind. He thought he'd escaped it. But that never happened. Just as he thought he forgot, another dream haunted him, reminding him of his never-ending escapist act.
He felt a buzz on his communicator.
'Hey, Grian. Are you awake?'
It was a message from Iskall. He and Iskall hadn't spoken much since season 7, mainly because they were both living at opposite sides of the world.
'Yeah, what's up'
They both kept in touch though, because they were friends, and joking about others was all they new how to do.
'Do you want to go prank someone? I know it's late, but it's been a while.'
They used to prank people all the time, in the dead of night.
'Always! Let's prank Doc and Ren. Meet me at the Octagon!'

Grian got up, walking over to his bathroom and looking at his reflection. His hair was scruffy and tear tracks ran down his cheeks. He splashed his face with water, making sure he looked fine. He sighed,  making his way outside. The moon was even bigger than before, and even stranger things were happening. He flew over to the Octagon, making sure Doc or Ren didn't hear him. He saw Iskall hiding behind a wall.
"Iskall!" Grian whispered, loud enough for his friend to hear.
"Grian! Hallo!" Iskall replied, making his way over to Grian.
"Okay. I was thinking we could fill the place with baby zombies with our heads on." Grian said, showing Iskall his shulker of heads.
"Perfect!" Iskall replied, "But where will we get the zombies from, especially if they're baby zombies?"
Grian smiled, moonlight catching his face, "I thought about that." Grian started walking away from Iskall, "Hey, follow me!"
Iskall ran forward, catching up to Grian. Grian made his way back to Boatem, Iskall trailing behind. He pulled out his shovel and removed some dirt, revealing a pit filled to the brim with baby zombies, some with golden helmets or mini shovels. They were all in boats, ready for the trip to the Octagon.
"What- how!?" Iskall jumped backwards, surprised.
"Come on! We don't have all night!" Grian smiled, jumping into the pit and getting into a boat, after being harassed by the zombie that was already inside.

~After the prank~

Grian and Iskall sat on a hill, staring into the sky, seeing stars amongst other strange objects placed up there by their fellow Hermits.
"I've got to tell you, G, that was exhausting!" Iskall exclaimed, throwing his arms up in defeat.
"Yeah...it was fun though..." Grian smiled sadly.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Iskall said putting his hand on his friends arm.
"I...I had another one of those dreams earlier...I guess I just managed to forget about it whilst we were pranking the others..." Grian replied, looking at the grass below him.
"Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped, you know?" Iskall said, watching Grian's movements.
"I... didn't really want to be a burden or anything..." Grian said, fiddling with the ends of his red jumper.
"Asking for help isn't being a burden, it's admitting that you're not strong enough to do something on your own, and I think that's the best thing a person can do!" Iskall smiled, putting his arm around Grian and embracing him lightly.
"Thanks..." Grian smiled and leant into the hug, feeling sleepy.
Iskall noticed Grian's eyes closing, and decided to let him sleep.
