CHAPTER 21

 

Red’s POV

I was sitting on the bed while looking at the photo the doctor gave me. I still can’t contain my happiness even if it has been hours since we’ve arrived home. Our baby’s really cute. It wouldn’t really matter kung kanino siya magmana sa physical features niya. I’ll just be glad to see him grow up healthy.

Maya-maya pa, I saw Yumi come out of the bathroom, probably just finished taking a bath and now dressed on her nightgown. It wasn’t even too revealing. It was what she was wearing almost every night, but seeing her right now feels a lot different.

I admit that I got attracted with Yumi the first time I saw her. That was when I woke up from the hospital bed. Being married was a huge shock to me, but having known that I got married to her, it was not hard to accept. She makes me fall in love with her all the time. How can you not fall in love with a very beautiful woman who happens to be your wife?

Being a few inches beside her has never been this awkward that I feel like I’m being drawn to her like a magnet.

“Tinitingnan mo pa rin si baby?” I was awoken from my deep thoughts.

“Hah? I just can’t imagine how this tiny angel can fit in your tiny belly” I chuckled.

She settled herself beside me on our bed and covered her legs with the comforter. “Sabi nila, nararamdaman daw ng baby at naiintindihan niya kung kinakausap siya ng ga magulang niya parati” She said.

My eyes widened. “Talaga? Pakausap nga kay baby” I moved closer to her and touched her belly. I then moved my head closer to her bellyand pressed my ear to it. It looked stupid considering that she does not even have a bulge on her stomach yet, but I was pretty excited to do it.

I started talking to our baby like he could very well understand me. “Baby, wag mong pahirapan si mommy ha. You have to grow up to be a very healthy boy. Sabay tayong maglalaro at maghahanap tayo ng pwede mong maging girlfriends” I joked.

She hit me lightly on the sholder. “Sira! Baby pa siya, tinuturuan mo nang mang-chicks. At hindi pa naman natin alam kung girl or boy siya” She jokingly replied as well.

I was confident that we are going to have a Baby boy. I feel it everytime. “Basta, alam ko” I faced her and there and then our eyes met. She was still laughing, but became serious when she noticed that I was no longer laughing.

I raised my right hand and touched her left cheek. She closed her eyes the moment my fingers touched her face.

“God, Yumi. You are very beautiful” I told her.

 

Yumi’s POV

Masama mang isipin, but I’ve always been praying na sana hindi na bumalik pa ang memories ni Red. Then, we could be a one big happy family with our children.
