Red’s POV

Isang linggo din akong nasa Cebu for a conference. I didn’t tell anyone at home about it. Why should I? Sino naman pagsasabihan ko? Si Yumi? Nah! I don’t have any obligation to tell anyone where I’m going. I headed directly to the office as soon as I arrived in Manila. It was about 5:30PM when I arrived.

I was immediately greeted by my secretary when I entered.

“Good afternoon sir. Your friends are inside. They kept on insisting to come in. I tried to stop them, sir. I’m sorry”

“It’s ok Susan” Nilagpasan ko na siya at pumasok ng opisina.

“Welcome back bro!” Steven and Enrique greeted. They were seated comfortably at the couch like it was their room. I didn’t answer. But instead, I let out a loud sigh.

“Nakakapagod ba biyahe bro?” Steven asked.

“Hindi nyo man lang ako pinagpahinga” I sat on the swivel chair behind my desk, leaned back, and closed my eyes.

“Bro, mag-unwind muna tayo. Daan tayo ng bar. Miss ka na namin. Masyado kang busy. Malapit na nga kaming magtampo sa iyo” Steven answered back. I sat straight and placed my elbows on the table and looked at him.

“Nababakla ka na ata sakin bro!” I joked and let out a small laugh

“G*go!” He threatened to throw a throw pillow towards my direction, but didn’t do it after all. Enrique was just sitting comfortably on the couch with his legs crossed.

“Tara!” I stood up and headed to the door.

“Bro! Tawagan mo na lang sina Carlos na dumeretso na ng bar” Steven instructed Enrique.

It was about 7:00PM when we arrived at the bar. Sinundo pa kasi namin si Fred who declined our invitation. He said he wanted to rest when Enrique called him. So, when he said he’s going to pass from our invitation, we decided to go to him. Now, he doesn’t have a choice.

As usual, Carlos is late.

I was standing comfortably leaning on the rails of the second floor of the bar where the VIP section was located. Despite the heavy music, I took time to think. It’s been a week since that incident at home. I never really intended to take advantage of Yumi. Really, it wasn’t a part of the plan. Yet, when I saw her and Louie talk, all hell broke loose and I wasn’t able to think.
