Tuesday, December 14th

I wake up with a headache, and check the time on my phone.

9:31 A.M.

I groan, and decide to sit up. I open my messages with my mom.

When do I have to be there again?, I send.

Part of me hopes she doesn't answer, but the read receipt appears almost instantly.

1:30, her response reads.

I sigh and turn off my phone.

The drugs definitely helped me last night, I was able to fall asleep relatively quickly without having the constant thoughts in my mind.

I get out of bed and make my way downstairs, wanting to get some water to hopefully relieve my headache.

When I reach the bottom floor, I find George and Sapnap on the couch, watching something.

"Hey," I say.

They both look up at me and wave.

I walk over to the kitchen, and find that George is following me.

He sits down at the island and watches as I fill a cup with water.

"You're up early." He says, a grin on his face.

I chug the water down and refill the cup.

"How do you know this is early for me?" I respond, a smile on my face.

I chug the second cup down and place it in the sink, before leaning against the counter and turning to face George.

"Sapnap tells me you usually sleep till really late. Since you can't really fall asleep at night."

I chuckle. "Yeah, today is a one-time thing."

He grins at my tone. A few seconds later he asks, "Can you teach me the song on the piano?"

I raise my eyebrows and smile. "Sure."

He hops off his chair and walks over to the piano, sitting down. Sapnap watches us.

"Are you guys seriously gonna play now?"

He turns off the TV and pulls out his phone, doing something on there instead.

I sit down next to George. "WAIT." Sapnap says suddenly. He jumps up from the couch and looks out the window.

George and I turn back to look at him, both of us confused.

"It's still snowing," he continues, "you know what that means?"

I look out the window after him, and chuckle.

"What?" George responds.

"SNOWBALL FIGHT, BITCHES!"

George and I burst out laughing. "I'm gonna teach George a bit of piano first, but we can do it after, okay?"

Sapnap purses his lips and falls back onto the couch. "Fine," he huffs, and goes back to doing something on his phone.

I turn back to face the piano, George sitting patiently next to me.

"Okay," I start, "so I'm gonna start with the main part, since it's pretty repetitive and doesn't take too long to learn."

I take George's right hand carefully in mine and place it on the piano.

"Okay, so your thumb is gonna go on B, in this octave." I move his thumb slowly to the 'B' key.

"You're gonna be using four fingers for this part, so then your index finger goes on D, your middle finger goes on F-sharp and your pinkie goes on A."
