Saturday, December 4th
A brunette stands there, typing something on his phone. I watch as his eyes squint at something, and smile at the sight.
He's wearing grey sweatpants and a black hoodie quickly thrown over his messy brown hair.
He seems shy, and a bit tired in the moment.
And for a reason I can't place, I can't seem to take my stare off.
Standing a few meters away from me, the brunette finally looks up and meets my gaze.
I feel my breath catch in my throat.
Who is that?
The loud sound of the subway approaching suddenly breaks our gaze.
I look back to my right, and find that Sapnap is completely unaware of my focus on the brunette.
Why did I keep staring at him?
I quickly blink the thought away, embarrassed that I didn't look away.
The subway seems very full, and comes to a complete stop in front of us.
Sapnap and I walk up to the door as it opens and get inside hastily.
Sapnap pushes through some of the people and walks to the right, trying to find somewhere better to stand.
As I attempt to follow him, the subway doors behind us close without warning and the subway starts moving quickly.
I accidentally fall backwards, and feel myself hit someone lightly.
I turn around to quickly apologise, before my vision focuses on the person.
My breath hitches as my eyes fix on the brunette. He chuckles lightly, his voice soft against the loud noises of the subway.
"Sorry," I say quickly, "I didn't think it was gonna move so fast."
The brunette moves his eyes down and back up to meet my gaze.
"It's okay," he chuckles, "do you take the tram often?"
My heart flutters at his voice.
He has an accent?
I blink myself back to reality. "Uh- y- yeah, I do," I clear my throat, "forgot it started so fast."
I scratch the back of my neck in slight embarrassment, but the brunette only chuckles.
"I can tell."
I notice the way his features light up, how they perfectly compliment his face.
I try not to make it obvious that I'm staring and look down at the floor.
"I'm George, by the way."
I look back up, and find a slight smile still placed onto the corners of the George's lips.
"My name's Clay."
The tram stops without warning, and I'm almost thrown forward again, but catch myself just in time.
George bursts out laughing.
"I'd recommend holding onto something."
I feel my cheeks turn pink, but end up laughing along with George. "Thanks for the tip."
George doesn't seem eager to move, not that he can anyway, so I take the opportunity to continue conversing with him.
"Where are you headed?" I ask, trying to raise my voice for George to hear over the loudness of the subway.
