Zuko and Saki had reunited with the rest of the gang after leaving the balcony and spotting them down the hallway. There was another interval happening now, which everyone was happy about.
Katara, Suki, Sokka, Saki, Zuko and Toph all sat in the hallway, contemplating the play that they had seen so far.
Suki spoke up. "It seems like every time there's a big battle, you guys barely make it out alive. I mean, you guys lose a lot."
"You're one to talk Suki." Sokka answered. "Didn't Azula take you captive? That's right, she did."
Suki's face fell instantly. "Are you trying to get on my bad side?"
"I'm just saying." Sokka shrugged.
"And Saki, oh boy." Suki giggled.
"What?" Saki snapped, looking up at Suki.
"Well you and Zuko are just a lovely horny couple aren't you?" Suki laughed out loud.
"Oh shut up!" Saki yelled, slapping Suki's side from where she was sat on the floor next to her.
"Does anyone know where Aang is?" Katara asked, interrupting Saki and Suki's bickering.
"He left to get me fire gummies like ten minutes ago and I'm still waiting!" Sokka exclaimed.
Katara looked at him blankly before turning. "I'm going to look outside..." She said, walking away.
"Wheeeee!" Yelled a small child who zoomed past in an Aang costume.
"Suki! What are the chances you can get me backstage?" Sokka asked his girlfriend. "I've got some jokes I want to give to the actor me."
"I'm an elite warrior who's trained for many years in the art of stealth." Suki said seriously, looking Sokka dead in the eye. "I think I can get you backstage." She smiled suddenly at him.
Sokka lead the way and Suki followed. Saki made a grab at Suki's leg to try and trip her up. Suki managed to pull free and blew a raspberry at Saki as she walked away, making Saki roll her eyes.
"Geez, everyone's so upset about their characters. Even you seem more down than usual, and that's saying something." Toph said, poking Zuko's arm.
Zuko did seem more down than usual, he has his hood up and had his arm rested on one of his knees. He hadn't said a word since he and Saki had left the balcony.
"You don't get it. It's different for you." Zuko said to Toph. "You get a muscly version of yourself taking down ten bad guys at once and making sassy remarks."
"Yeah, that's pretty great." Toph grinned.
"But for me, it takes all the mistakes I've made in my life and shoves them back in my face. My uncle, he's always been on my side, even when things were bad. He taught me so much, and how do I repay him? With a knife in his back. It's my greatest regret, and I may never get to redeem myself." Zuko sighed, looking at the floor.
Saki put a hand on his arm and rested her head on his shoulder comfortingly.
"You have redeemed yourself to your uncle." Toph told him. "You don't realise it, but you already have." Toph told him.
"How do you know." Zuko asked.
"Because I once had a long conversation with the guy, and all he would talk about was you." Toph told him.
Saki knew that this would make Zuko pipe up a little and she smiled to herself.
"Really?" Zuko asked, pulling his hood down and grinning. Saki looked up at his smiling face and couldn't help but smile too. She couldn't help but feel happy when she saw Zuko's smile.
