I laid back and sighed.
I'd come looking for a new life and I guess I had found it. It wasn't what I had expected, sure, and there were people that I had just met that I had already managed to piss off, sure, and said people could shoot fire out of their fingers, sure. But there was also a nice old guy, who liked tea.
And that pretty much made up for it in my books.
Suddenly, a bright, blue light shine through the glass of the window at the top of my room, giving the room an eerie and paranormal feel.
Another portal?
I ran over and stood on my tiptoes, peering out the window the best I could at my short height.
It was not a portal, more like a beacon that shone bright and powerful into the sky.
What could create a light like that?
In fact, it looked like those beacons from minecraft. The ones that you use to summon herobrine. Do they have minecraft here? I doubt it.
How sad their childhoods must be.
There was a knocking on my door, making me turn around and momentarily forget about minecraft.
"Come in." I chimed, knowing it was most likely Iroh.
"I just thought I would tell you that we will be docking in the Southern water tribe soon." Iroh told me after he opened the door and peered in.
"Okay. Thanks Iroh. What's that light all about?" I asked, hoping that he had seen it too and could shed some light on the situation (pun intended).
He sighed sadly and looked down. "It's the avatar." He said after a moment.
"That all elements guy?" I asked, wondering if it was possible for one single person to make such a bright beam.
"Yes." Iroh answered, still looking sad.
"The one Princess angs-I mean Zuko is after?" I asked, quickly catching my mistake and trying my best to fix it.
He chuckled slightly. "Yes, that's what he thinks anyway."
"Okay. Thank you." I bowed to show my thanks for telling me about the situation.
"No problem, Saki."
He bowed as he exited the room.
I pulled a jacket out of my bag and slipped my arms into it.
Of the south pole was anything like how it was in my world, it was gonna be cold.
I left the safety and warmth of my room and walked down the passageway. I walked around, trying to find my way out of this maze of hallways, before spotting a guard.
"Excuse me!" I called, running up and tapping him on the shoulder.
"What way is to the deck, I'm a little lost."
I knew that the fire nation was supposed to be angry all the time and mean, but this guard smiled warmly at me.
"Continue down that passage and then take a right, you should get straight there."
"Thank you." I bowed my respect and was about to turn when I heard him call to me again.
"You're that girl we picked up on the ice right?" He asked, making me turn around to face him.
"That's me." I smiled and jabbed a thumb at my chest.
"Are you sure you're okay to be running around? You were out cold when we found you." He asked, concern in his voice.
"I'm much better now, thank you..." I trailed off, asking for his name.
"Ito. My name is Ito." He smiled at me.
"I'm Sakura, it's nice to meet you Ito." I smiled at him and extended a hand. He took my hand and shook it, returning the warm smile.
"Hopefully I can be introduced to the rest of the crew soon." I said, letting go of his hand and starting to walk in the direction he had told me to.
Walking out onto the deck, I spotted some of the crew around - as well as Princess angst shooting fire blasts at two men that were sparring with him.
