"There it is! That's Roku's home!" Exclaimed Aang.
We were flying through the air on Appa, Aang using airbending to form a cloud around us as we flew down to an island. Aang had insisted we go here because he had Avatar Roku visit him in a dream and talk to him apparently. It's not like I didn't believe him, it's just all this Avatar stuff is so complicated.
We landed on the black island to see that the ground was uneven and had swirling patterns engraved in it.
"But..there's nothing here..." Katara said, looking around at the bare island.
Toph leaped off of Appa and landed with a thud on the strange rocky floor.
"Yes there is. An entire village, hundreds of houses. All buried in ash."
"A volcano must've erupted, that would explain the liquid-y rock formations." I said, kneeling down to run my fingers along the floor.
Even though there was nothing here, Aang had forced us to stay on this island for a while so he could reach out to his past lives.
Of course, we all agreed and set up camp on one of the large mountains while Aang meditated on a ledge that stuck out of the hill.
I looked over as his tattoos started to glow and turn a light blue colour. He must be going into the Avatar state to search for his past lives and Avatar Roku.
I laid out my sleeping bag and looked up at the sky, trying to judge whether it was going to rain tonight. Sokka saw me watching the sky and looked up to do the same.
"Think it'll rain?" He asked, glancing at me.
I didn't answer. I barely even heard his question, I was way too busy looking at the beautiful stars.
"Hellooo? Saki?" Sokka called, snapping me back to my senses.
"Huh? Oh yeah, nah I think it'll be dry tonight." I finally answered.
I glanced over at Aang to see him putting his leg over something and squatting, still in the avatar state.
"Uh, is he okay?" I asked, pointing at Aang.
Katara was gawking at him too, looking slightly disgusted.
"Do they have bathrooms in the spirit world?" Asked Katara.
"No, as a matter of fact, they do not." Sokka answered, and I guessed that he was talking from experience.

It was the next morning now, and we were all awake, crowded around Aang who was telling us everything about his trip in the spirit world.
"You mean, after all Roku and Sozin went through together, even after Roku showed him mercy, Sozin betrayed him like that?" Katara asked, sounding shocked.
"It's like these people are born bad." Toph added.
"No, that's wrong. I don't think that was the point of what Roku showed me at all." Aang told her, shaking his head.
"Then what was the point?" Sokka asked him.
"Roku was just as much Fire Nation as Sozin was, right? If anything, their story proves anyone's capable of great good and great evil. Everyone, even the Fire Lord and the Fire Nation have to be treated like they're worth giving a chance. And I also think it was about friendships."
Aang explained to us.
"Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?" Toph asked, looking down.
"I don't see why not." He said, grabbing Toph's hand.
Toph grabbed my hand and Katara was about to grab Sokka's when he pulled away, thinking.
"Well, scientifically speaking, there's no way to prove that..."
"Sokka, just hold hands already." I said as Katara mad a grab at his hand and I grabbed hers.
Without moving, he extended his arm and let Katara hold his hand. We all stared off into the distance and over the vast ocean.
I think friendships can last as long as you want them to.
This was a very short chapter, more of a little extra, so I thought I would just post it now instead of waiting ages to post it. The next one will be a lot longer!
(hehe, we're getting closer and closer....)
