Chapter Thirteen

Daisy's POV

I wake up to a loud knock at the door. I groan as I roll over and bury my face in Dustin's check. They knock again. Ugg, can't they go away. I hear Dustin grumble as he reaches over to grab his phone.

"Can't people just let me sleep?"

"Who can it be at this hour?"

"Doll, it's ten. We need to get up."

"Can't we just spend the day in bed together?"

"As tempting as that may be. We should get up and get moving, because whoever is on the other side is probably not going to quit."

"Nope, we are not! Come on open up. We want to do fun stuff." We hear Sam call through the closed door.

"Alright I'm up." Dustin hollers back.

"I'll go get ready."

I quickly grab my things and run to my room as he heads to the door to let everyone in. As I close the door I hear everyone.

"We have several hours today to explore." I hear Jack.

"I want to head to the aquarium. I heard it was amazing." Amber says as I close the door behind me. After I shower and get dressed I walk back in as everyone is talking. They have all decided to explore the city.

"What do you think, doll? Want to explore while we have a chance?"

"Sounds good. Where are we going?"

"First of all we are headed to the aquarium and after that it is up in the air." Amber says excitedly.

"Oh, I love the aquarium. The ocean is my favorite."

"Then let's go!" Sam says as he stands and heads for the door. We all follow him out and there is a van waiting for us. We climb in and head off. The aquarium is amazing. I could sit in front of the giant window and watch all that is in it, swimming around for hours. I had this bad feeling that we were being watched. I would look and it never seemed to be anyone out of place. Maybe it's my insecurities and there are no issues. I should tell Colin though.

"Colin?"

"Yes, miss?"

"I don't want to alarm anyone, but I feel like someone is watching us."

"I kind of have that feeling too. Just don't go anywhere by yourself. You're safer in numbers."

"I won't" Now I am feeling nervous. Colin senses it too. Is there someone around? Am I safe?

"What's wrong, doll? I can feel you shaking." Dustin whispers in my ear.

"No, he is not going to rule my life anymore. I am here to enjoy the city with my friends."

"That's my girl."

We spend the rest of the morning exploring the city as Colin is vigilant watching the world around us. Early afternoon we head back to the hotel to rest before we all have to be at the arena. We head into our rooms and I walk into his as we lay down to rest. He hands me a small box.

"I got you something."

"You didn't have to do that."

"I saw it and knew you would like it."
I open the box and inside is a beautiful necklace. The pendant is in the shape of a sea turtle with diamonds in its shell.



"I saw it at the aquarium and I knew you had to have it. I overheard you saying that sea turtles were your favorite."
