Broken

Chapter Forty Eight

We head back out to our friends and the photographer takes more photos. I truly can't believe this day is here. She is now my wife and I get to love and cherish her for the rest of my life. They eventually shoo us away so they can get the area ready for the reception and we all head back out to the floor and there are tables surrounding the dance floor and our table is on the stage. The steps have been left. They introduce us as husband and wife and we make our way to the stage and sit down. As we sit, they bring us food and the party begins. Once we finish the DJ starts up and he asks us to head to the floor for our first song as husband and wife. I picked I am yours by Andy Grammar. Pulling her to me, I wrap my arms around her waist as her arms slide around my neck. She lays her head against my chest and we sway to the music. I sing the words to her as we move along the dance floor. The song soon ends and we head back to our table for a bit. They then call us to cut the cake and we head over. We both decided not to smash the cake as is tradition. I knew she would be mad if I did then it was the usual bouquet and garter toss. The funny thing is Amber and Elijah both caught them and I could see a hint of fear in his eye. It didn't last long and we all went back to dancing and having fun. After a couple hours Jason walks up to me.

"I just wanted to take this time to congratulate you both. You make a wonderful couple and deserve to be happy. I have watched you over the last year and can see the love you both have for each other. Dustin, I want you to know the company plane is ready for you two whenever you are ready to go."

"Thank you so much Jason. That means so much to us both. Thanks for the use of the jet. I think it is time for us to leave. I hear a destination calling us."

"Have a wonderful time. We will be waiting for you to come back."

I take Daisy's hand and we thank everyone and say our goodbyes.

"Have fun you two." Jack says.

"You two have the best time. You deserve it. I want to hear all about it when you get back." Amber says as she gives Daisy a hug."

"Not all of it." Daisy says with a blush.

"You better name that baby after me!" Sam calls out.

"Knock it off, Sam. Be safe you two. See you when you get back." Elijah says as he smacks the back of Sam's head.

We head out to the limo and climb in. I can't help but kiss her again. We can't get to our destination fast enough. Once we are at the plane, we head inside.

"You still aren't telling me where we are going yet?"

"Nope, it's a surprise and you will find out when we land."

"I love you, Mr. Stevens."

"I love you too, Mrs. Stevens."

We sit down in our seats and the stewardess comes over and asks if we would like anything to drink. She heads off to get our drinks and we settle into our seats. After she brings our drinks she lets us know that the plane is going to take off and soon we are in the air. I look over and see Daisy yawn as she curls up into me as her nerves begin to kick in.

"Sleep doll, it will be awhile before we land. I got you, don't worry."

"Mmmhmmm" She slowly falls asleep. It has been a long and exciting day. She is too tired to worry about flying as she usually does. I am glad that today is over and can't wait to start the rest of our lives. I am excited for her to see where we are going. She has talked about going there a few times and I instantly knew it was where I would be taking her. I soon fall asleep with her and many hours later the stewardess is gently shaking me awake.

"Doll, it's time to wake. We are here."

She stretches and looks at me with those sleep filled eyes.

"MMmm, feels like we just left."
