Chapter Twelve

Daisy's POV

We are finally in Atlanta and we all slowly climb off the bus. Jason goes to sort out our rooms as we all grab our things and head into the lobby. After about thirty minutes he comes back and hands out our keys.

"So, I have booked adjoining rooms for Dustin and Daisy and everyone else has their own rooms. Everyone get settled and we all meet in Dustin's in about an hour."

"That's great. See everyone there and we will go over details." Colin adds.

We all head up to our rooms. As I unlock my room and walk inside, I place my suitcase on the bed and flop down next to it, letting out a loud sigh. It's a new city and one step ahead. As I lay there I heard a knock on the adjoining room door. I go to unlock it and there stands my most favorite guy.

"Hey, doll."

"Hey, rocker."

"Can I come in? We have a bit till everyone is here."

"Absolutely"

He steps into my room and instantly crashes his lips to mine. He lightly bites my bottom lip and slides his tongue in to entwine with mine as I open my mouth. My hands move up to wrap around his neck and my fingers play in his hair. One of his hands entangles in my hair and the other hand roams my body. After a bit we parted breathlessly.

"I have been wanting to do that all day."

"Mmm me too." I whisper.

He leans down and starts to kiss along my neck, and I purr softly. He feels so amazing. This man has been so patient with me. I think I am starting to fall for him and it scares me. I don't want to have my heart broken again. I am still fighting to let him in and something tells me to let it happen, but I just can't, or can I?

"Come over to my room. We can watch a movie until they all come over."

"Okay, that sounds good."

We head back into his room and crawl onto the bed and pull up a movie to watch while we wait for everyone. After about an hour we hear a knock on the door and Dustin goes to answer and Colin is the first to arrive. He walks in and sits down on the couch as everyone soon follows in. Jason is the last to come in.

"Alright so now this Scott character is one nasty guy. He has several assault charges against him that he was acquitted from or they were brushed under the table. It took a lot of digging to find anything about him. Some of the girls disappeared. He is very well known in the drug world. He owns several clubs and his own business where he buys and sells smaller companies. Mostly he cuts them up first. He is ruthless and has men all over the city. I am so sorry Daisy." Colin lays it all out for me and I begin to shake. Dustin places his hand on my thigh and rubs it softly trying to calm me.

"Oh my god! I had no idea. He kept everything hidden from me. I knew he went to work everyday and some nights he would be gone, but I never knew why. I always wondered why he would come home some nights smelling of perfume and drunk. Those are the nights he would take me without permission or beat me."

"We are going to get this bastard, don't worry. I will always be around you whether you are with someone or by yourself. You will not open your door unless it is one of us."

"Okay, got it. This will be my new norm, huh?

Yes, for now."

"Okay, so sound check is at three this afternoon and tomorrow we all need to be back at the arena at five. Other than that you are free to do what you want." Jason adds.

"Who's hungry?" Sam pipes in.

"I know I could eat." I hear Elijah say from the couch.

"You know what? I have heard about this burger joint here. It's called the Varsity. I hear you gotta try it once." Amber smiles.
