Daisy's POV

I don't understand. Colin could be my half brother? I don't remember much of my parents. I was very small, maybe two or three. My parents were never around and if they were, they were high. I don't remember much of them as they weren't too concerned for me. They usually kept me locked in my room. I do remember being left alone for several days until someone came and collected me. I don't remember who it was but they took me to a group home. I spent most of my young life bouncing from foster home to foster home. Never truly fitting in anywhere until I met Scott, at least I thought he loved me, a few years later I would find out the truth. I never knew what a family really was until I came to Nashville. Now there is someone who might actually be my brother? I sit quietly as I look at Colin and try to find a resemblance. I wonder who he looks like more, mom or his dad. I just can't wrap my head around it. Is it coincidence or just dumb luck?

"So, you're my half-brother?"

"That's what it would seem."

"Small world, huh?"

"It seems to be."

"So what do we do now?"

"I have a doctor friend that can run a DNA test for us to see if we are truly related."

"I would like that."
"Alright, I will go call him and see when he can do it."

He heads out of the room and I sit there quietly. Dustin leans over and kisses my cheek.

"Are you mad at me? I'm sorry if I overstepped. I just wanted to find out if you had a real family."

"No, I am not mad. Thank you for thinking of me."

"I am always thinking of you."

I lean over and press my lips to his. It lasts a few seconds and I pull back, as I look into his caramel eyes and I get lost for a moment in those beautiful eyes.

"I love you."

I feel him tense up for a moment, and then I see his eyes soften as I peer into them. They flick back and forth across my face as he tries to absorb what I said and a smile slowly slides across his face.

"What did you say?"

"I love you."

His smile grows bigger and his eyes sparkle.

"Say it again."

"I love you!"

He moves the tray to the nightstand and pulls me onto his lap, and crashes his lips to mine. His tongue slides across my bottom lip asking for entrance and I open my lips as his tongue slides between them. His tongue is soft as it explores my mouth. It takes my breath away as my toes curl. He pulls back too quickly for my liking and rests his forehead against mine.

"I love you so much!"

My lips curl up in a huge smile and my heart starts thumping in my chest. He loves me! Those three little words that send me soaring. I have never been so happy hearing those words before. I can't remember if I ever heard them from Scott. If I did, it was so long ago. I don't remember feeling like this. Maybe I was never in love with Scott. We had been sitting there lost in each other's eyes and we heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I answer.

"The door slowly opens as Colin comes in. I quickly climb off of Dustin and sit next to him as he readjusts himself with a soft growl. I turn to look at him and smile, as he gives me a look that says we will finish this later.

"I talked with my friend and he says we can go by his office in an hour and he can do the test for us."

"Thank you, Colin. I will be down in a bit."
