the madrigals went inside camilo's room, seeing how happy he looked while dancing and partying with his friends.
the yellow chameleon then noticed them and rushed over "where are the andrades?" he asked.
his parents gave eachother eyes of melancholy making the boy frown with confusion.
"they're going back to brasil." his eyes widened.
he quickly ran out of his room making the party stay inside a pitch dark room.
"camilo!" he heard his parents call out, but he needed to see for himself. he needed to see if she was actually leaving.
he went inside the guest room only noticing the blue cornflower that laid on the surface of what once was maria's desk.
he went to the front door and noticed the family in the distance walking away with their suitcases. he couldn't believe it, she was actually leaving without even saying goodbye, literally on his birthday, on their birthday!
he looked down at the blue cornflower in his hand, feeling his heart shatter into a million pieces.
i suppose you could say he already got his answer, she wanted nothing from him.
she left HIS CORNFLOWER behind.
