Chapter 20

Eren's Point of view

This is it. It's time. 5 more minutes until I enter the operating room. My family and friends are with me. They promised to stay here and wait.

"Good luck Eren we love you."

I smiled at them and they gave me one last hug. The doctors and nurses then started to lead me in the operating room.

I don't know if I'll make it. I don't know if I'll see them again. But I'm hoping that I will. I want to spend my life with them after all.

Goodbye everyone, I'll see you soon.

Mikasa's Point of view.

The doctors led him to the operating room and we were left to wait. I know he's strong. He can do this. You're lying again. And you're back. I don't know why you keep coming back but I don't care anymore I'll just ignore you. Hmm sure, if you can. Just shut up.

We waited for hours, and hoped for the best. At times we'd cry due to our nervousness and bad thoughts. If something goes wrong... he's gonna leave us.

We all sat there quietly waiting for the doctors to give us news. I sat next to Mrs. Yeager and Eren's older brother. Mr. Yeager was with the doctors. For a few more minutes Mr.Yeagar came out of the operating room. We all looked at him. He looked a bit... sad. Nothings wrong right?

"How is he?" Mrs. Yeager asked.

"He lost a lot of blood we need a blood transfusion. But unfortunately neither of the both of us have the same blood type as him. And the blood bank has no stock of blood type AB."

"My blood type is AB maybe I can give him some." I said raising my hand. He smiled and went near me.

"Mikasa dear, are you in good shape for this though? I don't want you to risk your health." He said. I nodded at him and replied, "I am sir. I don't have any serious conditions at all."

"Okay then, but we need to call your cousin for his approval."

"Of course sir. I'll call him."

I dialed Levi's phone number and gave it to Mr. Yeager. They talked and Levi agreed. I'm willing to give Eren my blood if it means it would help him.

"Mikasa come on." He said and I stood up he led me to some nurses and they guided me to the blood back for the blood transfusion.

It took about 30 minutes to get it done. I'd give Eren as much as he needs.

Eren's Point of view

I woke up with white light blinding my eyes. I saw Mikasa standing over me. But something different.

"Mikasa when did you hair get so long?"

"It's always been long. What 
are you talking about?"

"You had... short hair in my... dream?"

"Oh is that so. Anyway we should get going. Carla probably misses us now. You know how upset she gets when we leave her with her uncle Dean."

"Yeah let's go it's getting late anyway." I said and she helped me stood up.

After that we packed up the things we used for our picnic and went home.

Once we arrived, Carla ran up to us and hugged our feet. I leaned down to her height and hugged her.

"Papa! Mama! Don't leave again please." She said. I lifted her up and carried her on my back.

"Of course my love." I said and she giggled. Mikasa smiled at us and gave Carla a peck on her red cheeks.

"Where's my kiss?" I pouted.

"You've already had enough kisses!" She teasingly said. Carla and I laughed.

"Come on we got you something." Mikasa said and took Carla off my back and carried her. Our little girl squealed in happiness.

Mikasa then took out a doll out of her bag and gave it to our child. Carla hugged it tight and hugged the both of us.

"Thank you Mama and Papa! I love you!"

"We love you more my little princess." I said.

We pulled away from the hug and she left and ran to the living room to play with her new doll. Dean then came in with a big smile on his face. He hugged Mikasa the gave me a pat on my back.

"Was she hard to take care of?" I asked him. He took a deep breath and sighed.

"She cried most of the time. She wanted to be with both of you."

We both laughed and thanked him for taking care of Carla. After a while he left. Mikasa and I were having a little chat while Carla was playing.

"I never thought life could be this great." I said and side hugged my wife.

"Me too. Just a few years back we were struggling with our life. Now look at us. We have our own child and we have no worries."

"Yeah, it's even like it's too good to be true." I said.

"Eren I know you like our life like this but, this... isn't real." She said her voice a little quieter.

"What?" I looked at her confused.

"This isn't real. This is a dream. You need to go back to your real life. I know you love it here. Everything you want is here, but you need to go back... it's for the best."

"I wanna stay here."

"You can't my love, if you do you'd die in your real life. You still need to help her remember? Go back and confess to Mikasa. Help her and live a life together. You can make this come true. There will be complications but it'll be worth it."

"O-okay, can I atleast kiss you once more?" I said with tears falling from my eyes. She nodded and cupped my cheeks. She wiped my tears and touched her forehead with mine.

I leaned closer and pushed my lips into hers. I love it here but she's right. I need to back to them. I need to.

I pulled away and went to Carla and hugged her one last time.

"Carla my dear, I'm sorry Papa must leave you, but I promise we'll be reunited somehow." I kissed her forehead. She cried and hugged my foot.

"Don't leave me Papa."

"I'm sorry my love." I said and took her little grip of my foot. I held Mikasa's hand and looked at her in the eyes.

"I'm ready. Goodbye." Tears continued to fall from my eyes as I said my goodbyes. Not long after that everything turned white.

I opened my eyes and wiped my tears. Mikasa was sitting by my side and mom was on the other side.

"I'm back."
