Chapter 22

Prom night. The night they've all been waiting for. After days of preparation, the night has finally come. To some this isn't am important night, but the others think of it as one of the nights they'll remember forever.

....

Meanwhile on the Ackerman residents, the two are both getting ready for the night. Levi wore his black taxido with his usual carvat. He and his band was requested to perform for tonight. He didn't agree to it but a certain someone had been annoying him, pleading for them to play. And that is Hanji Zoe, he hated people; being one of the reasons why he didn't want to come. But Hanji was able to convince him by saying she will have a proper hygiene for 2 months if he says yes. Being the clean freak he is, he agreed. He was tired of forcing her to bathe. And a proper hygiene for 2 months is good enough for him.

Mikasa couldn't help but feel giddy. She was gonna go to prom with the boy she admires. She wore a red gown with a thin strap, the neckline was a bit low making her cleavage show. She also wore the flower necklace her mother had given her when she was young, making her feel as if she is with her. They would've been so happy to see her in her gown, ready to go be with the boy she likes.

She waited for Eren to pick her up, Levi and her decided to ride on different cars since Levi was also gonna pick up Hanji. Not long after, a knock was heard from the door. Mikasa knew who it was, so opened it as soon as she could.

Once she had opened the door, Eren was standing there wearing his navy blue taxido with a rose tucked on the pocket of his suit. He held a bouquet of roses on his arm. He looked up to see Mikasa, he blushed in the sight of her. Red really suits her perfectly.

She looks perfect... she is perfect. He thought. He stared at her, admiring  for a while as he was lost in his thoughts.

"You look handsome Eren..." She said pulling Eren out of his thoughts. He smiled at her and gave her the roses. She took it and smiled at the boy.

"You look really pretty." He said. They stared at each other lovingly, waiting for each other to talk.

"U-ummm... let's go?"

"Yeah." She said and turned to her cousin and waved him goodbye. Eren took her hand and led her to the car, where his mother was waiting. They sat in the backseat with their hands holding. Carla drove with a smile, knowing that her son has found someone he loves.

...

They arrived in the venue with their friends already waiting for them, with their dates. They joined them and they all flooded each other with compliments.

Annie wore a white off shoulder gown with long sheer puffy sleeves with a blue ribbon, while her date, Armin wore a dark blue taxido. Historia wore a pink floral gown and ymir wore a white taxido. Sasha wore a simple gown with pockets, probably so she can sneak out some snacks. Connie wore a white button up with a matching blue vest and tie. Jean wore a black taxido, Reiner wore a white button up with black pants, Bertholdt also wore a taxido, and Marco wore a white button up with a black vest.

They went inside where the event was being granted. They all wondered together, the couples completely in awe of their partner. They talked about some random things, then the topic went to Armin and Annie, who were obviously being extra lovey-dovey with each other.

Meanwhile on Hanji's house, she waited for Levi to pick her up, she wore white button up with black suspenders and black pantsuit and a large oversized coat. She decided to let her hair down since she dosent know what to do with it. While she waited for him, she decided to read one of the books she had. Getting lost in the book, she completely forgot about Levi, making her not notice that the man was already hovering her as she reads.

"Oi four-eyes."

He said making her look up in surprise. She set the book down and stood up from her couch. Now she's hovering him.

"Sorry shorty I got lost while reading again. Anyway we should get going."

"Come on." He said and they headed out. Levi drove while Hanji kept blabbering about some random things about the band. She kept talking and talking not running out of words. Then she remembered about their othe brand mate.

"How will Mike get there?" She asked him.

"In his car."

"Ohh, haven't seen him in a while now, last time I saw him was when him and Nanaba announced their proposal, which was like a month ago, I wonder how the wedding preparations are going... maybe Nanaba would be there too." She continued to talk about them.

Levi parked that car and glanced at Hanji, signaling to get out, so she did. They walked together into the entrance where a bunch of teachers greeted them. Levi seemed to be pretty annoyed by the crowed. So he just left with Hanji apologizing to them.

The event was like the usual, everyone was dancing with the songs the others talked with each other.

Hanji, Levi, Mike and Nanaba finally saw each other after a while. Mike and Levi kept on bickering with and other while the two ladies were talking about Nanaba and Mike's upcoming event.

Not long after their talks the Band was ready to go up on the stage. The MC announced their performance and the teens all gathered near the stage. The lights dimmed as the band went up the stage ready to play.

For tonight they will play "Just the two of us" by Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr. Levi sang along with Hanji being the back up singer.

As they performed the song, Eren and Mikasa was having their own moment.

Eren held her by the waist and Mikasa rested her hands on his shoulder, as they both dance slowly with the beat. With a few twirls and messed up steps they danced under the spot light, not bothering if everyone around them was watching them. Nothing was on their way, everything was all onto them.

They looked deeply into each other's eyes admiring one another. Mikasa finally saw how the cruel world, was able to make someone as loving as Eren. She admired him dearly, she wants a future with him. She wants a future where they can live together and have a happy life until they die. She knows he is the one for her. He helped her heal from the scars of her past.

And for Eren, he was ready to risk it all for Mikasa. He only wants one thing for his life, and that is to be with Mikasa forever and build the life he dreams of. He wants a life with Mikasa where it's only them. Where it's only just the two of them.

The song ended and their dance ended with Mikasa almost falling out of balance, but luckily Eren caught her by her waist. With no more hesitation, Eren pulled her into a kiss. They kissed passionately. Not thinking about a thing at all. The love they kept in for each other was all poured out into one passionate kiss.

They pulled out and looked at each other in the eyes. No words are needed. They felt it, they felt it all. It's now clear to both of them. It's clear that they love each other.
