(A/n I guess you could call this a tribute to a friend)
In the 1700's it was said that the only businesses were absolutely necessary things. Everything was simple and practical. There were stores and professions like: the tailor, the seamstress, the carpenter, the lumberjack, the baker, and the Major. It was like you had one or two people in each position and they were known by that.
At least that is what my Education Pal said in class today. Everyone laughed of course. He insisted that that was what it was like 600 Seasons ago. The Learning Posse doesn't believe Pal. I mean, how could it be so different.
He also said that school was uncommon for many and it happened at different times of the Season, well he said 'year', depending on your sex. School was reformed to Brain Growing Posse with Pals or BGPP 78 years ago. Apparently the Mini Beings (MB) had to farm or something too. Old Time class is weird with all the terminology changes and it has just been so long.
After BGPP I walk home. During my walk I examine the shops on the way home. People woosh by me in hovers and the old mini planes on the street. I see Drains's Drain, where you can get valuable Higher Minds excrement, the terms 'human' and 'person' were forego 151 Seasons ago with the "aliens" (which is rude) coming to live here on Terea Three. I then pass a Rooth's Roofs operative. They are one of the most elderly and prosperous businesses in the past 100 Seasons. It consists of Home-Searching higher minds being on roofs. They do get caught sometimes, but they make a lot of gold, today's currency.
Just then I got a message in my Communicatory Implant from Moma. "Agoto, please hurry home from BGPP"
Communicatory implants apparently replaced something called a phone some 200 seasons ago. About.
I wonder what higher minds from back then would think about these things? Or what higher mind in the future will think about these things? Are they seeing this now? We do have Watchers everywhere today.
