(A/n This is personally one of my favorite ones.)
Natalie groaned. She started to sit up and rub her head. Seeing, and hearing, this John quickly ran over and grabbed her wrist, stopping her from rubbing her head.
"Don't." he warned. "You may have a concussion."
Natalie looked into his eyes. "What happened?"
"You ran into Vanessa." John explained.
"It was like when two stars collide." Mark said dreamily.
Natalie frowned. She was still a bit out of it. John gave a slight growl. "Mark, how about you leave now." he said.
Now, it wasn't John's house, but when your BFF hits their head, you get special privileges like kicking someone, who is not family, out.
John helped Natalie sit up on the couch. He then sat beside her. He explained that Vanessa was okay and went home. A doctor was coming over to check on her. The doctor will come over to Natalie's house next.
Soon the doctor and Natalie's family came into the room. They checked her eyes and took over tests to see if she had a concussion from the collision. The doctor said that she needs to get lots of rest and to call her if she is still having headaches after a week or two (A/n I am no expert). At most Nat had a very minor concussion.
Natalie soon fell asleep on John's shoulder, holding his hand. He slowly slid out and laid her back on the couch. He then covered her with a blanket. Since they were neighbors, John was allowed to stay as long as he wanted, and could sleep over too. He ended up falling asleep on the other couch in the living room.
In a middle of the night, Natalie suddenly woke up. She clutched her head and gave a cry of pain. John woke up at that sound. He came over to her and pulled her into a hug. After the hug, he sat beside her and rubbed her knee comfortingly. They talked for a little bit while the pain was closely subsiding.
"Alright," John whispered. "I am going to head home now, okay. Can you go back to sleep for me Natty?"
"John."
"Yes?" he said softly.
"It still hurts so much. And-and I am scared. Will it keep hurting? Will this ruin my basketball season." she asked. "John, will you stay with me please."
"Okay." John said. "Okay, at long at you need I will be here for you. As I will help with the recovery too. I promise."
He ended up laying next to her and them both fell asleep peacefully.
