~REALITY~

ALISSA'S POV

Even after a couple days of rest, I still feel jetlagged. I'm starting to think maybe I'm just lazy. After waking up from another nap, my eyes adjust to the light and I head down stairs. Nessa is sat on the couch watching TV and she's so deep in her Grey's Anatomy episode, she doesn't even notice I'm here. As I walk into the kitchen, Jaden and Josh are sat on stools laughing at something on Jaden's phone. I roll my eyes and get cereal out of the cupboard. Sometimes I wonder who shops for us in this house. There's always actual food in the kitchen and I never see anyone get it, weird. I grab milk from the fridge and check it isn't mouldy. When it passes the smell test, I begin to make my breakfast. For some reason Jaden is staring at me like I'm Gordan Ramsey. In reality, I manage to spill some of the milk onto the counter and wipe it with my pj's.

"You're weird, you could've at least wiped it off like a normal person." Jaden smirks. "What kind of normal person gets out cleaning supplies for a bit of milk? You're the weird one." I say and once again roll my eyes. I've just woken up and he's really testing my patience.
"Someone hasn't had their morning coffee." He chuckles to himself and I give him the death stare while he walks out the room.
"How are you too not married yet?" Josh asks and I can't tell if he's being sarcastic or joking or what.

"Where in hell did you come to that conclusion?" I question his intelligence, not that he has much of that anyways.
"Look at you too. Arguing like a married couple, being all lovey-dovey with each other, it's so cute." He smiles and when I blush, he gives me a 'told you so' look and that's when my redness disappear and I shoo him out of the kitchen so I can have time to myself.

Once I eat my cereal and make some toast and finish that too, I head upstairs and take a shower. I go into my closet and pick out an outfit to wear, I wrap a towel around myself and when I emerge back into the bedroom, Jaden's lying on the bed.
It then occurs to me that I'm practically naked. I try to run away before he notices I'm there but it's already too late. He glances up from his phone and checks me out. No joke, I felt like I was going to die. I just gulped and took it like a man though.
Several minutes had gone by and we were still just staring at each other.

He face was completely blank, and I couldn't tell what he was thinking. I hate it when that happens because usually I can read people like a book, especially Jaden, but right now I'm just confused and becoming emotionally unstable...help.

He breaks the tension by actually moving. He gets off my bed and slowly walks towards me. The closer he gets, the more my heart rate increases. I'm holding my towel up and grasping it with my hands and because of that, I can feel my heartbeat and it sounds like a fucking machine gun.

He grips my waste and pulls me close to him so we're practically touching noses and he breaths loudly. "God I love you, Alissa." He gasps and then kisses me.

It all happened at once, the last thing I expected was for him to casually blurt out the l word but it felt so good coming from his mouth. He asks for my permission before removing my towel along with all his clothes and we giggle when falling under the bed. We slide beneath the covers and he searches for his pants to get his wallet, which usefully has a condom in it. He kisses me more and I feel the passion we share serge throughout my body.

I've never truly believed in the concept of soulmates or even love for that matter. But in that moment all that was bouncing through my mind was how much I loved him and how for a moment it felt like it was only us and that he was meant for me and I was meant for him. For a moment it was simple.

For a moment I felt free.
