- Loki's Pov -
The kiss lasted a good few minutes. The only reason we broke apart was to get air back in our lungs.
"Wow," Thalia muttered, a little breathlessly.
"Indeed" I panted. This woman literally takes my breath away. My hand lingered on her waist.
"If that's the type of kiss I am going to get, Maybe I should fall into your arms more often" Thalia bit her lip. I put my pointer finger under her chin, holding her face in place with my thumb.
"Maybe you should. I'll always catch you" My thumb stroked Thalia's chin gently.
"I hope so" Thalia sighed. We stayed pressed against each other for a few moments more before I let Thalia go.
"I should go"
"Yeah. But first, Give me your phone" Thalia held her hand out. I took my phone from my pocket.
"I don't do selfies" Placing the phone in her soft hand. My fingers briefly touched hers.
"Me neither. But how else can I give you my number?"
"Okay, Point taken" I felt a little silly. Thalia handed me my phone back and I called her number "And now you have mine"
"Indeed" Thalia took a deep breath in and then out. Doing the same, I pulled Thalia in for one last kiss. Pushing her against the wall once again. I mainly did because if I didn't have something solid to hold onto, I would be a heap on the floor "What was the kiss for?" Thalia asked after pulling away.
"Two kisses for saving you" I licked my lips. I let Thalia go again "Will I see you again?"
"I think so. I'll text you" Thalia winked at me. I smiled as I stumbled out of her door.
I drunkenly danced all the way home. Carefully opened my front door, trying not to wake a sleeping Thor, who was sleeping on the sofa. I tiptoed to my room. I flopped onto my bed. Sleep came easy and deep, I dreamed beautiful dreams of a brunette woman named Thalia.
"Why are you still in bed?" Thor asked as he appeared in my doorway at some point in the morning "Feeling sick?"
"Lovesick maybe," I thought to myself. I was a little weary-eyed sat up in bed and glared at the smug face in the door, willing myself not to curse. I turned to my bother "I thought you had a meeting with Stark?" I sleepily mused.
"Well considering I was somewhat awake, Wondering where you were last night, I pushed the meeting back an hour or so" Thor's face dropped to one of contempt.
"Oh please, you were snoring when I got in" I scrunched my nose up.
"At gone 3 in the morning. I didn't even see you leave the party"
"Well you were busy with the two blondes, I didn't want to interrupt" I huffed. I only left the party because I was afraid that I scared Thalia off. Before Thor could speak anything other than stupid, I quickly ushered my brother out of my room with offers of a good old English cup of tea, which he happily accepted.
Once Thor was out of sight, I flopped back into my bed. I picked up his phone that rested on the table next to my bed.
"I should probably text Thalia" I decided. I tried a few variations, but rejected all of them, mostly because they made me sound unpleasant or even worse, desperate. I gave up in the end and angrily chucked my phone on the bed, and grumbled around getting up. I don't know why I threw my phone. I couldn't leave it in here, Thor would find it and mess around on it. I dragged my feet into the kitchen and slouched onto the barstool next to my brother, my Phone still in my hand. I tried not to be preoccupied with it, as I listened to the nonsense that came out of Thor's mouth. I got up mid-way through a sentence and put the kettle on. I just stared at y phone.
"What's wrong?" Thor asked I passed him a steaming mug of tea. I smiled a solemn smile.
"I don't know what to say to her" I slid my phone onto the worktop.
"Who are you on about?"
"Thalia" I sighed "She was the reason that I was back so late last night"
"Did you two... urm...?" Thor made a whistle and raised his eyebrows.
"Oh my god! Thor!" I groan, covering my face with my hands "Brother, I'm over a thousand years old, for crying out loud. Do you really think I'd be so irresponsible as to -" I cut myself off "Don't answer that"
"I wasn't going to say anything" Thor held his hands up. I opened up my phone and looked at the messages.
"What can I put?"
"You are going to text her back so quickly. Brother, it's only been like 7 hours, how desperate do you want to seem?" Thor spoke as dramatically waved his arms around manically. I hung my head and glared at the empty new message box on my phone "Though, in all honesty. I have never seen you so hung up about a girl before"
"She has had this rather odd effect on me and I can't shake it. I only met her yesterday and I am already head over heels for her"
"Well, you are a God after all. Romantic feelings affect us more"
"But it's not like she is the first person I have been with. In a thousand years, I've had my fair share but Thalia... She, She struck a chord differently from all the rest" I twiddled with my phone some more. Spinning it on the counter "Help me"
"Fine, give it here" Thor grabbed my phone that was still sitting on the table, and ran to the other side of the room "Hi... it's Loki... I think... you're hot... please sleep... with me" Thor read out as he was typing. I was right behind, Trying to snatch my phone back.
"No, you can't write that!" I exclaimed, "You didn't send it did you?" Thor looked at me with a cheeky grin on his face "You did, didn't you?"
"Of course not, I ain't that mean," Thor said chuckling "Hi it's Loki, I think we should... meet up... I'd love to take you out... I know this... lovely restaurant... if you are interested?" He finished typing "Send that if you want" He chucked the phone back to me. But I fumbled the catch, pressing all the wrong buttons; it fell to the ground and started ringing. I cursed as I picked it up.
"Hello?" Thalia spoke.
"One moment please" I panted back. I muted the call "Help me. What do I say?"
"How should I know? She is your crush, Not mine. Just talk to her" Thor egged me on.
"A fat lot of good you are" I mumbled, I walked off "I'll be in my room"
As I shut my door and locked it. I unmuted the call as I walked off.
"Hey, Thalia"
"You called?" she asked.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to. Thor nicked my phone and in my efforts to get it back, I accidentally called you"
"Oh. It's fine" she sounded a little sad.
"Only because I've spent the last hour worrying about what to say to you"
"Same, I mean, I wanted to thank you for last night and to ask if you want to meet up sometime" she sounded very relieved to actually say it out loud. I couldn't stop a grin from forming on my face.
"I would love to. Perhaps we could go out for dinner or something tomorrow night" I crossed my fingers.
"Oh I can't, I'm busy tomorrow and Thursday. I'm helping Nanna out" I felt a little disappointed "How about Friday night?"
"Friday sounds good. It's a date"
We continued chatting happily, for a good half an hour. I found out that she was an ex-vegetarian, Which I laughed about, and asked how she became an ex-vegetarian. Apparently, it was Nanna's fault. She fed her shepherd's pie and since then, She loved meat. She kept asking about my home but since I hadn't told her I was a God and from a different realm altogether (I did have the strangest feeling she already knew, I mean she knows Stark and The Avengers so she should know of Thor's details. If not my name should be enough of a clue)
After a particularly loud laugh from the other room, I reluctantly decided that I had better go and check on my brother, Our goodbyes were lengthy and circler in nature. Eventually, we put the phone down. I lay on my bed for several minutes, trying to stop smiling.
"I am going on a date" I screamed to myself. I did the kerching arm thing. Then it dawned on me "I'm going on a date?!" I never thought it would get this far! What am I supposed to do now?!
Where can I take her on a date? Bowling? Cinema? Restaurant? Should I get her flowers? Where can I get pink roses? I could conjure them. But she doesn't know I am a God. I could take her to Asgard or is that more of a third-date type of thing? I should take her to the cinema. That seems safe. Maybe food afterward. Oh, I don't know! Bowling could be fun but would she get mad if I win? Should I let her win? We could go to London Zoo? Will I have to hold her hand? Maybe she won't want to hold my hand. It could be all sweaty.
After hearing another hearty laugh, I dragged myself back into the kitchen.
"Soooooo?" Thor asked. I had all intentions of not spilling the tea but I couldn't keep a straight face.
"We are going out Friday night" I grinned so much my cheeks were starting to hurt but I couldn't stop.
As my brother and I sat in the kitchen, I was uncharacteristically quiet while Thor boasted about something. I sat with my chin propped up on my hand, staring into the distance with a peaceful smile on my face.
"Loki, Are you even listening?" Thor asked. I was sort of listening but I really wasn't "Loki" Thor repeated, waving a hand in front of my face.
"Mm... wait, what?" I said, snapping back to attention.
"You didn't hear a single word I said, Did you?"
"Not really and I ain't even sorry, I was just thinking about my date on Friday," I said as my smile grew wider.
