Gerard's POV

I had my messenger bag with me, taking off my jacket as soon as I was out of sight. I started to fly up to the clouds, looking around and trying to find the medicine garden shop. It was a natural path store that sold things for ancient beings such as demons, angels, and other creatures that hopefully weren't roaming near us. I enjoyed flying, laughing as I dove, and brought myself back up above the clouds, twisting around and dipping below the clouds again. I found the shop, slowly landing out of sight, and tucked my wings back into my jacket.

I walked into the building, taking in the smell of herbs, most of them smelling pleasant. Lavender, mint, and more. If I'm honest, those are the only ones I can name, but they are the only ones I can smell right now. I shook my head and remembered why I was here, looking around and spotting my favorite person. "Hey, Julia! Do you know of any remedy to stop molting or strengthen the feathers? And while I'm here, something to stop the pain of bones that are growing," I asked, flashing a smile as she stared at me. She let out a little chuckle, gesturing me to follow her.

"Honey, you should've come sooner if you were having trouble," She chuckled out, though I shook my head. "It's not for me, it's for my roommate. You don't have to worry about me, darling," I explained, putting in a little sass as she grabbed a few things from the shelves. She lead me to the counter, ringing me up and smiling, she grabbed her notepad, wrote down something, and stuck it to one bottle. She then did this for the other two bottles, putting them in a small bag and handing it to me. "One of them is for the pain, one of them is for the growth, and then the last is for strengthening the feathers. You're all set, my dear," She informed me, smiling as I looked in the bag. "Thank you, Julia, I'll come by again soon," I said, returning the smile.

"Oh, I hope not, it usually means you're hurt. But if you do happen to make any more of those delicious cookies, I'll gladly welcome you in, hon," She told me, letting out a little laugh. "Haha, yeah, I'll be sure to make the fudge while I'm at it then," I said, seeing her smile even more as she waved goodbye. I was about to walk away, running into someone and closing my eyes out of habit. "Gee?" I heard the voice ask, opening my eyes and smiling even more.

"Mikey! Bro, I haven't seen you since you left, how's Earth been treating you?" I asked, seeing him move his hair out of his face as he nodded and chuckled. "It's been a wild ride, I'm almost done with the 30 assignments I was assigned," He told me, smiling and chuckling again when he saw my surprised face. "That's amazing, Lil bro!" I exclaimed, giving him a big hug and feeling him wince a little bit. "Oh, you okay?" I asked, letting go and looking at him as he nodded.

"Yeah, I'm here to pick up my ointment, right wing clipped the side of a building, don't worry. Just a little bed rest and then I'll be as good as new," Mikey reassured, smiling as he moved his right-wing to be on top of his left. I nodded and chuckled, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, Julia is good like that," I whispered, smiling at my brother as he fixed his jacket, which happened to be matching mine.

"Well, take care, bro. I gotta get home before Ray freaks out of how long I've been gone. He puts it on pick up for a reason," Mikey announced, fist-bumping my shoulder as I nodded. "Yeah, I gotta get these to my roommate so he'll stop molting, but congrats on finding your eternity. I'm proud of you," I told him, patting his shoulder and smiling. "Oh, speaking of which, I got this thing called a phone, do you have one?" I asked, seeing Mikey nod and getting excited as I grabbed mine out of my pocket.

"Yeah, here's my number," Mikey said, showing it to me as I typed it in. I texted him a little emoticon, feeling text savey as he gave me a thumbs up. "Yay, now I can text my baby bro," I exclaimed, sliding my phone into my bag along with the bag of medicine. "See you, bro," He said, waving goodbye as I removed my jacket once I was out of sight again.

I took off and enjoyed the scent of the clouds, reveling in the little bits of precipitation catching my face. Although I enjoyed flying near the clouds, it had to come to an end as I landed out of sight and put my jacket back on. I walked to the house, walking in and seeing the dark living room. I hadn't been gone long, but it was a little cloudy outside. I went up the stairs, smiling at Frank's door as I slowly approached it. I took the bag out of my messenger bag, putting it on his doorknob and letting him find it whenever he woke up from his nap.

I went to my room, put my bag on the back of my chair, and sat down. It was good to get out and fly, closing my eyes a little to imagine the clouds. I imagined it so vividly that I felt the water on my face again, smiling and opening my eyes so I could find my book. I was in the mood to read, but only for the romance, taking off my jacket and closing my curtains. I spread my wings and curled up on my bed, feeling a sense of nostalgia as I started to read, picking up where I left off. It's quite the story.
