A few months later

3rd Person POV

Frank packed up his stuff, Gerard doing the same as he hummed and occasionally danced. They were both a little bit attached to the house though, having already cleaned and dusted everything. It was a special place for both of them, having met in the house, even though when they first met they were fighting, but it was unimportant to them both now that they were together. They would be, forever.

Frank walked to the end of the hall for what would be the last time, seeing Gerard's room looking rather bare now. It was sad, seeing as no one else would know the memories of the two angels. Frank looked to the bed, all made up now like his own, silently chuckling to himself. "Do you remember the first time I fell off your bed?" Frank asked, seeing Gerard acknowledge him as he turned and nodded, leaning on the desk behind him. "You were going to be romantic and make me breakfast, but fell off the other side," He relayed the memory, the scene playing out in both of their heads as they stood there.

"... I don't wanna leave, it's so sad seeing this place go," Frank admitted, Gerard nodding with a frown. "We've done so much here, had fun, watched movies, slept like humans, got into our first fight, had pillow fights, ate snacks while in our pajamas," Gerard explained, letting out a sigh before remembering he had a favor he could call in. "Let's just go before we can't pry ourselves from this place," Frank whispered, to which his, technically, husband agreed. Frank didn't want to take a portal to heaven just yet though, which gave Gerard plenty of time to call in his favor.

"Gee, I have a place to show you before we go up," Frank told Gerard, though he agreed since he had grown sentimental towards the Earth and wanted to stay a little longer. "Follow me," Frank whispered, jumping the gates to the forest and taking off his jacket. He threaded the jacket through his bags, holding them and waiting for Gerard to hop over. "You know we have to come back to give the keys right?" Gerard asked him, though he knew this, and nodded as Gerard put his jacket through his bags to carry them easier. "Ready?" Frank asked, the other angel nodding and taking off first. Frank joined him, bags in hand and dangling below him as he flew higher and faster to lead Gerard.

Frank came across the clearing, slowly diving down to it and landing gracefully. He smiled and sat against the tree, looking at Gerard as he landed just as gracefully, probably even more. "This is the place where I met two squirrels that were in love," Frank explained, Gerard sitting down against him and soon feeling his arms around his waist. "A good place to hide, maybe even run away," Frank whispered, kissing underneath Gerard's jaw. "There's even a little creek pond a few trees down," He told him.

"Are you suggesting we run away?" Gerard asked, Frank immediately laughing and shaking his head. "We're done, retired, a last resort. We can live peacefully up there," He whispered, kissing his cheek before resting against the tree. He sighed, shaking his head as he opened a portal to heaven. Gerard got up off of Frank, smiling at him. "Remember when I was teaching you how to open a portal, then we had a random portal in our living room for a few hours because you figure out how to close it?" Gerard asked, seeing Frank grabbing his stuff and doing the same. "I can close this one, I swear," He assured, smiling and going through after Gerard, closing it just like he said he would and winking at the latter as he walked to the gate. "Welcome! We have your quarters in the D hall," An angel told them, both of the angels looking at each briefly, though Gerard pretended not to know what was going on.

Frank and Gerard walked to the D hall, the oblivious angel holding hands with his knowing husband. Frank started to catch on when they received a key with the number "519", the latter getting excited as the angel that led them left. He ran into the house once he unlocked it, seeing the familiar details of the house and gasping in excitement. "You like, Frank? You're welcome," He whispered, kissing his cheek as he closed the door behind them. "You did this?!" He exclaimed, walking in and seeing that there was something different.

"Yeah, I called in a favor. I even got us a backyard for making s'mores or something, looking at the stars. You can see millions at night since there's no light pollution," Gerard told him, smiling as Frank put that as what was different. "It's wonderful, thank you!" He exclaimed once more, running to Gerard and hugging him tightly. "You're welcome, my love," He responded, kissing the top of his head and staying there for a little while longer. "You wanna check out the bedroom?" Gerard asked, Frank nodding and the both of them going up the stairs.

There were only three doors now, one at the end by the stairs, and two on the left side. "Gee, what's with the three doors?" Frank asked, looking at the hall and then looking at Gerard. "One bedroom, a bathroom, and a hall closet," He said simply, opening the door to the bedroom to show him the large room. They both walked in, seeing the blank canvas of a room. One bed, two desks, and two bedside tables. "Hey, the solution to the question we ask every night; 'Who's room are we sleeping in?' Easy. No other bedroom to pick from," Frank told Gerard, smiling as he flopped on the bed, rolling around and chuckling. "New home, how are you feeling?" Gerard asked, petting Frank slowly, gently as he smiled down at him. "Are the walls thick?" Frank whispered, laughing when Gerard nudged him a little. "Frankie, seriously," He told him, their laughter dying down slowly. "As long as I'm here with you, my love," He whispered in response.

"Oh, so sappy, you read too many corny romances," Gerard told Frank, laughing a little as he kissed his forehead. They lied there in bed for a little longer, holding each other closely. "I love it... I love you," Frank whispered, kissing Gerard gently and smiling when he pulled him closer after pulling away. "Sappy... I love you too," Gerard replied, smiling at Frank as they stayed there. Content and loved; as it would be for the rest of their immortal lives.
