Frank's POV

I felt myself waking up now, my eyes slowly opening up a little, staring up at the ceiling. I moved my head a little and looked around me, seeing an unfamiliar room around me. There were books, comics, and... Star Wars figures. I was in Gerard's room, that was for sure; my little nerdy roommate was quite adorable. I rubbed my eyes a little and look down to see a familiar head of raven black hair. I smiled and moved my hand to carefully move the little ends that stuck up in all different directions. It was soft yet thick, but running my fingers through his shortish hair was a bit soothing, the repetitive movement giving me some comfort.

Gerard started to stir, moving his head up, letting my hand fall to the bed. He froze, looking at me as he woke up, blinking his tired eyes until his eyes widened. I smiled at him, seeing his eyes fill up with tears and then he suddenly lunged at me, bringing me into a fairly tight hug. I hugged him back with the energy I could muster, but he was definitely holding me tighter. "I finished the book, by the way, it was a great recommendation," I told him, snuggling up to him a little bit more. I heard him laugh a little bit, his shoulders shaking as he did. "You've been asleep for two days and the first thing you say is that you liked the book I suggested?" Gerard asked, still laughing a little and moving to squeeze me a little harder before letting me go.

"I thought it was of importance," I joked, smiling a little as he looked at me before wiping the tears out of his eyes. "Dork," He teased, laughing a little as he sat beside me. "So, two days, huh?" I asked, seeing Gerard nod and sit up a little in his chair. "Yeah, and in two days your eyes have changed, Frank. They're more green now," He told me, smiling and staring at them as if he had been locked in a trance. "They used to he hazel," I told him, seeing him nod a little as I carefully sat up, being cautious of my ribs. As I remember it before I blacked out, they stopped hurting, and that occurred to me as I sat upright without trouble.

I sat against the headboard, looking at Gerard and staring right back at him and realizing that I truly did understand romance. Or maybe it was just that I understood my attraction to him, which made me laugh a little. It felt like it came out on its own, though I didn't mind as I saw Gerard smile some more. "Those books taught me a lot more than anyone has explained to me, and I think I understand more than I thought," I told him, to which he kind of tilted his head in obvious confusion. "What do you mean?" Gerard asked, to which I sat up a little more to get closer to him. "Just... Don't be mad," I whispered, though I could see the hesitance and skepticism written all over, but he slowly nodded and waited a little bit for what I was going to say. Or rather do.

I slowly leaned into the space between Gerard and I, realizing why characters in movies got nervous when they were about to kiss someone. He was looking into my eyes, though as I briefly looked down to his lips to silently ask for permission to proceed, I felt myself blush a little bit. As Gerard leaned in a bit to test the waters, I leaned in more and finally connected our lips. I closed my eyes like the other characters had, reaching up and cradling his face gently as we moved in the kiss. It was slow, gentle, sweet, and it seemed to end all too soon. I understood why people enjoyed it now, seeing Gerard's blush as he sat in his chair. I smiled and kissed his forehead, stretching out my wings a little, watching his face turn even redder.

The white of my wings was blinding, though they seemed to be brighter than before, they looked natural now. I smiled, looking to Gerard again and tilting my head. "Does this mean... We can spend eternity together," I asked quietly, fidgeting with my wings a little. "How long have you... Known?" Gerard asked, looking at me and tilting his head ever so cutely. "I was reading romance novels before you even gave me the talk about how not to let anyone touch my wings, kind of figured it out a little time after I had about 10 books on hand," I confessed, now fidgeting with the blanket end, avoiding his gaze.

"Frank, no offense, but you need better taste in books," Gerard joked and I kind of lightly punched him. "This is no laughing matter!" I told him, though I was kind of holding in a little laugh because I did need a better taste in books. "But seriously, Frank... You were the one to ask me if you wanted to enact an eternity bond, even if I had been thinking about it," Gerard mumbled, rubbing his neck nervously as he tried to get the courage to look at me. "You were thinking about it? Oh- is there such thing as angel dating?" I asked, looking at Gerard and finally getting a little laugh out of him.

"Yeah, I was thinking about it, and there is no such thing as angel dating. There is a handful of angels that typically wait a week before enacting an eternity bond, but that's the closest thing to it," Gerard explained, looking at me and seeing that I was listening fully. "But two angels have to be both consenting before entering a bond that lasts for eternity, Frank," He added, his voice sounding more serious than it ever had before. "If you're consenting, I am," I whispered, putting my hand on his and smiling at him when he looked at my face. "Well, there's something you have to do first," Gerard mumbled.

"Are you sure you can't come with me? I don't wanna go up there alone," I whined, straightening my tie in the mirror and turning about 90 degrees to see if my wings were fitting into the formal vest that I had slipped on. "Well, not exactly. I can't return until I finish my assignments," Gerard explained, coming up behind me in the mirror and fixing my tie from behind. "Don't worry, it's just getting sworn in kind of thing," He assured me, kissing my cheek, making me blush and giggle. "Okay. Do I look okay like this?" I asked, taking one last look and seeing Gerard nod. "Definitely," He whispered, looking me up and down. "Okay, perv. Come on, I can't figure out how to make the portal," I whined, dragging him out of the bathroom and down the stairs.

Gerard opened the portal for me, a little bright in my opinion, but I looked to him one last time. "Don't forget to tell them about us," He reminded me, though I kind of laughed a little and nodded. "I won't forget that part, trust me, Gee," I gently assured him, winking and seeing him blush. I guess the nickname was okay now. "I'll be here waiting for you... Frankie," He whispered, smiling at me as it was my turn to blush. I walked in, seeing the portal close once I was a way into the entrance. I saw a few angels, all of them looked a lot different from each other, and I thought that was beautiful.

"Hello! You must be Frank Iero. We were told to welcome you in and show you where to go," This lady informed me, doing just that and pointing beyond the gate and telling me where to go. I felt like I was walking on air as I entered the building that I was directed to, being pulled into a room and sat down. It was kind of homey, but it did feel a little bit like I was in the principal's office. "Hello there, Frank. Welcome, you are now an official angel of heaven. Here are your assignments, you may come back up once you complete them," This man explained, handing me a list. "Um, would now be a good time to mention that Gerard and I agreed to enact an eternity bond?" I asked, seeing his whole body freeze, then he let out a squeal of excitement.

"Oh, my heavens! Gerard has finally found a match, oh my- this is exciting!" He exclaimed, going through papers and handing me a different list. "New assignments for now until Gerard finishes his, it's about the same as his so you should be able to finish when he does. Um- there's something else... Oh! There will be an eternity bond official to make your bond well- official. That'll be done as soon as possible, and I'm sorry that I'm rambling, I'm just really excited and proud, also happy for the both of you. He picked an amazing angel, just- absolutely magnificent," He spewed, smiling as he finished and gave me a thumbs up. "Oh- you may return now if you'd like. Also, be patient with the official, it may take about a day or two to get him down there," He told me, giving me one last smile.

"Thank you, have a good day... Or whatever, I don't know how it works up here," I chuckled out, waving goodbye as I was then told where I could leave to go back to Earth. I opened my wings and flew down, doing barrel rolls through the clouds and laughing as I rolled around in my victory. "Whooo!!!" I screamed out, flying home to tell Gerard the very good news.
