They walked down to the meeting room side by side. If they were seen entering together, nobody said a word. She stood now, amongst the other spies that were embarking on the mission, facing a board with their names and positions on it. James was stationed in front of it, discussing their plan.
"We all should know our stations by now, but there are a few final things I need to go over. Arson, I need you ready to have an interrogation team ready at base; and if we take home Tobias Snape, they should be briefed before we arrive back at HQ. I want you running the interrogation with maximum five other spies you trust. Also I know we've had Slytherins and Ravenclaws run a recon mission but things may have changed by then. So I want Gryffindors and Slytherins to lead the group into combat."
Lily glanced around and took quick surveillance of who that would be. There were three– not including James and herself. Over all she realised they were short on Hufflepuffs until she spotted someone else in a yellow braided spy suit.
"What's Mega doing here?"Mary shot her a venomous look, "you're short on medics. And I want to be there to protect my protégé."
"Your protégé is capable of ass-kicking," sixteen year old Nymphadora Tonks scowled, "and I don't need my adviser cramping my style."
"Doesn't matter. She's here now, and she's also right," James persisted, "we need more medics."
Nymphadora rolled her eyes as Mary winked at her."Finally, Falcon, you're with me."
"Pardon Prongs," a Hufflepuff Lily didn't recognise slowly raised his hand, "wouldn't it make more sense to split the unassigned spies?"
James pinned the man with a look that would have melted ice. "No."
"That's settled then," Remus muttered awkwardly, giving James a loaded look of his own.

𝟷𝟷:𝟺𝟼 𝚙.𝚖 INeither James nor Frank had spoken much on the journey in their van, and eighteen hours later they were in position around the desolate building.
"Cobra, do you copy?"
"Loud and clear, Prongs."
"Padfoot?"
"Copy."
"Mega?"
"Copy."
Lily listened to James call for every spy on the mission until he reached her.
"Falcon?"
He had turned to look at her at his side. This wasn't a test of her earpiece, he was reassuring her. Suddenly she was grateful she was assigned to stick with him.
"Copy."
James nodded once and turned his gaze back on the warehouse.
"On my count then."Lily cocked her gun and held it to point.
"Three."
She glanced around to see Sirius, Marlene and Luisa do the same from various points on the ground.
