Lily and James stood side by side, their son in between them, as they watched Evelyn Harper King, still half disguised as Ophelia, sat tied to a chair in the interrogation room. She couldn't see them, there was a wall of one-way glass that they stood behind.

Evelyn had her back to the couple and from here Lily found it all too easy to mistake her for Ophelia, the girl that she knew. The girl that maybe didn't like her very well, but had her back on a mission, and took a shine to Harry despite that distaste. Lily had always respected Ophelia, no matter what their relationship had been; she was quick-witted, biting, and honest– or at least she had appeared to be honest.

Ophelia Dollie Montgomery was, to Lily, a well-meaning soul disguised in hate. But now, if she turned around, those once cutting grey eyes would be a crystal blue, softer. Evelyn's eyes were so clear and true they could almost never hold lies. Lily wondered how she managed for so long.

"We should visit the hospital wing. There's a few injured and they could really use the good news that Harry's home safe."
James' voice was soft next to her, reassuring.

"Who was hurt?"

"Marls, Sirius, Peter, Alice. All minor injuries but Alice got it worst."

Lily breathed a sigh of relief before replying, "You're right, we should visit them. We owe them everything for helping us, it's only fair."

James took a step back, holding out his hand to her, "Come on then, you two."

Lily left first, glancing behind her to see James watching Evelyn for one last second before he followed her out the door.

"Is that who I think it is?" Sirius grinned through lidded eyes as he caught sight of Lily and James.

"It is, unless you were expecting Ron."

The commotion woke Peter and Marlene, Alice still appeared to be fast asleep.

"Our baby!" Marlene cried, her face lighting up with excitement as she held out her arms to take him. Harry giggled and reached out to the hospital bed.

"He's our baby," James corrected, not sounding at all upset.

"Shh," Marlene hissed, holding Harry close, "He's everyone's baby at this point."

"That's true."

They stayed for longer than they realized, finally allowing themselves to relax now that they had Harry back, and the stolen files.

"We need to get back and see Ophelia," Lily said eventually, taking Harry off of Peter's bed. Alice still hadn't woken up yet, Mary said she'd been given sedatives.

"You mean Evelyn," Sirius chimed, a frown forming on his face.

"Evelyn."

Just as Lily and James were about the round the corner, a voice stopped them.
"Wait!"

A weak-sounding Alice whispered from her hospital bed, "Can he stay with me?"

James looked at Lily who nodded before lifting Harry out of his mother's arms and into the hospital bed next to Alice. He tucked them both in and Harry was almost asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. He snuggled into Alice and slept away the traumatic night.
