𝟷𝟶:𝟺𝟸 𝚊.𝚖 IIf anyone thought it was ridiculous to see James Alexander Potter teach a Slytherin theory lesson when there was a mission happening simultaneously, they didn't say anything (which was probably just as well).
"Next we're going to be trialing more material from Ravenclaw in simulation rooms, but for now the class is dismissed. It's likely Hagrid will take your next class but I will be there to supervise. Any questions?"
Nobody raised their hand and so James waved his, allowing the Slytherins to exit the training rooms.
"Actually, Falcon? Stay behind, please."Whilst the other spies filed out, Lily walked back and stood in front of James, her eyebrows furrowed.
"What's wrong?""How's my girl?" He asked gently, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear as his other hand gently covered her stomach, "and our little buddy?"
"They're both good," she smiled, "though a little miffed they can't take part in any real combat."
"Well Molly ordered you to stay out and I'm inclined to agree," he said, kissing her forehead, "plus it means I can relax."
"What?"
"Well, pregnant or not, it's more than a little stressful to watch your girlfriend charge head first into danger."
Lily laughed, slapping his arm lightly, "You do the same thing! Are you saying I can't handle it?"
"Not at all. I'm saying that I can't handle seeing you in danger, not that you can't handle danger."
Lily beamed and was so enthralled by James and their conversation that she didn't notice the spy watching them from the crack in the door frame...

"How's little Bambi doing?"Lily grinned, "Apart from the fact I need to use the bathroom about twelve times a day, they're doing good."
"As are you, I hope?"
It was something odd to see Sirius talk so kindly to anyone and not yet crack a joke. Lily wasn't sure if this was a good thing or not, but he was smiling at her which couldn't have been bad.
"I'm luckier than Alice, I've not been sick at all in the mornings, but the poor dear is plagued by morning sickness."Sirius nodded gravely, "Frank was saying earlier. It's a shame for her, she's always hated being sick."
Lily turned back to her lunch for a moment and watched out the corner of her eye as Sirius did the same. Eventually, she managed to voice her concern.
"Padfoot? Is there something bothering you?" She knew that James and Remus were on a stakeout and wouldn't be back until early tomorrow, but he was rarely worried about his best friend and boyfriend– they could handle themselves just fine– but he was still yet to crack a joke or playfully push her arm."It's nothing really."
"It's not?"
Sirius sighed and rounded on her slightly, "okay fine. It's just... James."
