Val called all the sisters into the dining room. It was all what Mel knew. She and Mr. Abe had decided on a hometown wedding, semi traditional. Melanie said nothing about Mr. Abe's financial situation, or the fact that Dee said nothing snarky all night.

It was difficult to hold that information from Val, and it made her more nervous that she would spill the beans, but they just talked and laughed at memories.

"Hey Dee?" Melanie whispered across the hall as Dee was going to her room, "Tonight was fun."

Dee gave a lazy smile but there was a sparkle that wasn't there before. "Yeah, it was."

Melanie was suspicious, "So what's gotten into you."

Dee bit her lip fighting a smile, "I just had a good night."

"So who is he?" Mel teased.

"Nunya business." Dee laughed, "Don't make me ask you were you been all weekend."

Melanie giggled quietly and could feel her cheeks warm, "Well, who ever he is. I'm glad you're happy Dee. You deserve to be happy."

"Really?" She said.

"You're my sister, Dee. I want you to be happy. I just hate it when you rag on me and everyone else."

Her eyes fell, "I know baby," She said softly, "I guess I've just been hurt for so long."

"So," Melanie sighed, "You inviting mystery man to the wedding?"

She shrugged.

"Either way," She yawned, "I'm glad you're happy."

After telling her goodnight Mel went back to her room. She was too tired to shower so she just slip off her shoes and slid into bed. That was when she checked her phone. She had silenced it when she was with her sisters, but still was expecting the producer to call her back.

She was surprised at the few messages from Issac.

Call me if you can.

I don't know if I tell you this enough, but I love you Melanie.

He did say that a lot, but for some reason her heart warmed reading it in a text message. She wondered if he would text his wife sweet messages like that. She hated  thinking that way.

She dialed his number and leaned back on the bed.

"Hey." His voice sounded thick with exhaustion.

"I'm sorry, Shaggy did I wake you?"

"I love it when you call me that." He said softly.

She giggled quietly, "'Shaggs."

"What are you doing?" He said.

"I'm just laying in my bed."

"Ooh!" He said with a soft growl, "What are you wearing."

Her heart fluttered and she let out a giggle, "I'm naked." she lied.

"Do I need to come over there?"

There was a sexy masculinity to his voice when he talked. That made her tingle, it was as if he would be a wizard at phone sex. Then it dawned on her. Maybe she taught him. Maybe she taught him to make love. Maybe she made him such an incredible lover. The thought made her stomach turn and she had to admit to herself that it hurt. It hurt that when they were together, what if he was making love to Rachael.

"What are you thinking about Mel?"

She swallowed a lump in her throat, "I just..." She paused, "Did you find out anything about your dad?"
