Melanie could spent the night washing off the grime from her day physical, mental, and spiritual. Not that she hadn't been through plane turbulence, before but lighting hit the plane. She needed to call her sisters and make sure they knew she was okay, just made sure they didn't tell him.

She finally turned off the water, through on the white terry cloth robe, and studied herself in the mirror as she fluffed her wet curls. They were almost cute in a swimsuit model kind of way but in the morning she would have a mess on her hands. She started to reach for her overnight bag when she'd heard a knock.

She blew out a breath. Perhaps room service. She realized she should have put the "Do Not Disturb" sign up, because her plan was to have undisturbed sleep, and catch the first flight back home. The knock grew more incessant. So she tugged her robe tighter and pulled on her drawstring. She fluffed her hair once more, and opened the door.

She was sure she looked as if she'd seen a ghost. There he was leaning against the door frame, that same charming shy boy smile, it was cute then now it was just frustrating.

"Hey Mel." He said calmly.

Her mouth dripped for a moment until she collected herself, "Isaac," She pushed the door closed a little more, "What are you doing here?" She feigned a sarcastic smile.

"Just in the neighborhood thought I'd drop in." He smiled.

She rolled her eyes. "Well, good seeing you. Bye now!" She started to shut the door but he wedged his white shoe in the door and then pushed his body in after it so Mel was pushing all off his weight on the door.

"Mel come on, I came all this way. Just give me five minutes."

"You stalked me Isaac." She debated.

"How can I stalk you? I know you? That doesn't make any sense."

"You being at my room in the middle of the night doesn't make sense."

"Of course it makes sense. We've been playing this game since we were ten."

"Yeah, we'll I'm done."

Isaac paused and Melanie was able to get the door closed and locked. She brushed her hand together and placed them on her hips.

"You don't mean that Mel" He yelled from the other side of the door.

She was going to respond but decided that if she ignored him, he would get a clue and go away.

"Melanie." He banged, "Melanie, I'm going to be out here all night if I have to." He banged again, "All I'm asking you to do is hear me out."

She crossed her arms walking over to the door and leaning against it. "Go away, Shaggs!"

"Not until you talk to me, Melanie."

"I don't want to talk to you."

"Good than you can listen."

"Go away!"

"You know what fine. You brought this on yourself Mel."

Melanie blew out another frustrated breath,

Maybe back in high school it would have been endearing Isaac singing an offkey version of Micheal Jackson's Lady in My Life. Now it was just annoying, and she had to admit a part of her was just going to to wait for some kind of security would drag him somewhere.

But with the even louder more off key version of the second verse she was on her own.

And baby through the years even when we're old and graaaaay. Gonna love you more each day...so I promise you tonight you will always be the lady in my life.
